The GRAW PC bitch and whine.

So, whats wrong with the game? Seriously, the devs are looking for feedback, so I figure we can put together a pretty fucking good list of shit they should fix/add.

What went wrong is Ubi Soft corrupted Red Storm. Red Storm didn't even make GRAW on PC, Ubi Soft gave that out to GRIN. GRIN tried to much to copy Red Storms GRAW on X-Box and failed to recreate the GR1 feel as demanded by the fans. This is almost as bad as not releasing GR2 like promised.

This is just how it goes for FPS's that get released on consoles first, the console developers are killing the genere's most beloved franchises, i dont know a single one of them where releasing on a console first or at the same time turned out to be a good FPS, GR, Deus ex, Thief, how i moan them. I'm already crying for System Shock, my most beloved franchaise, Bio Shock is probably going to be a dumbed down POS with flashy graphics like it happened with all the franchises before it.

I can't believe how stupid Deus Ex went. I mean, the fucking fact that you didn't even have to REMEMBER a fucking key code any more, it just automatically opened the door once you'd triggered that conversation/found the code somewhere! GAH... I have dumbed down design. I understand appeal to the masses, but it was FUCKING DEUS EX - the first game didn't have mass market appeal but won every fucking GotY award that I am aware of.

In GRAW, what shits me is the way that so much of what you do has no direct control - the drone is a great example, I WANT TO LOOK AT THAT THING, not scan and pan the view. Or how when you order a quick-move through the mousewheel menu, you have no idea exactly where you ordered your men to go, they might move 2m in that direction or run to the other side of the map.

That's one of the neatest things in old System Shock: you could configure your HUD so that you could quickly enter codes with your keyboard keypad, which was great for atmosphere when you couldn't remember the exact code, there was a killbot coming, and your battery just ran out. :)

The dumbness of most modern shooters probably explains why I'm still playing Infiltration.

Or how about the shitty weapon selection. The absolutely crap sniper rifle with a whopping 20 rounds, 40 if you don't want to have any backup ammo.

And of course you can not take control of your men. You have a total of 4. You can't order your men into stealth. Silenced weapons are worthless in singleplayer because the AI hears them. Absolutely no stand alone grenade launchers. The fucking OICW XM29 is in the menu cutscenes! No dedicated classes. Every character can fire every weapon the same.

Its a fucking joke. Only minor improvements from GR2 from what I hear.

"Silenced" weapons are pretty loud.

Most suppressors only cut noise levels by 20-40 dB, so you'd still hear one some distance away unless there was a competing sound source.
