Particularly with connecting to an instant messenger service known as MSN, and thus my email account. For the past few days the service has been unavailable, for whatever reason. In a flash on intuition, I downloaded an update, and it gave me a clue as to what the hell is going on. It's my firewall, in all likelihood, blocking me.
What would the denizens suggest I do?

Hardware or software firewall? Have you given the firewall permission for that application to work (probably only applies to a software firewall, but I had to ask)? Has the app worked before or has it never worked?

I really don't know, sorry.
I've never had to give permission for the app to work, and up until now it has worked perfectly well. I've been using it for over a year now.Have you given the firewall permission for that application to work (probably only applies to a software firewall, but I had to ask)?
