I actually just read the New York Times and then, if I see an interesting article, I look for it on NYTimes.com.
Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things... their number is negligible and they are stupid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

How do you set up multiple homepages?
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

Can't forget that one.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

BBC, CNN, and Reuters. I occasionally hit AP.

I also read a number of blogs, both professional(TalkLeft, for legal matters, DefenseTech for generic military widgets, and Armscontrolwonk for all thing nukey-nukey), and political(A sampling of right and left, including AmericaBlog, Kos, Malkin's atrocity against writing, and the amusingly named RightWingNuthouse. I like the latter better, as he seems noticably more sane than most.).

The Los Angeles Times

The New York Times

The Washington Post

National Public Radio (I stream it online)

Occasionally, I'll check out an online documentary on PBS's Frontline

Oh and I watch Fox News and read The National Review just to keep it "fair and balanced".

Usually read Washington Post, Check CNN online, Gamepolitics.com for, well, game politics, I listen to C-span on the Radio, and I watch NBC, MSNBC, and CNN.

Alot of my news, however, comes from what the good people at SD.net post. :P

The Washington Post tends to have some of the best political coverage mostly because they are right next door to the guys doing it. However it is a register to see it site.

Doesn't even need an extension; basic Firefox can do it. Just tell it to set the current page as your homepage when you have multiple tabs open; it will treat all of them as your homepage and open all the tabs.

http://npr.org <-- National Public Radio, where I get most of my news these days while working through the night.

This is a website hosted by the University of Michigan which provides links to online newspapers from around the world. Great site for getting to obscure newspapers from non-western sources.
