Hitman 4 crash of death

So I'm playing hitman, and once past the first level it's a bit of fun. Problem is, the opera level crashes-to-desktop at random, within about five minutes. EVERY TIME. What gives? I've tried both v1 and v1.1, and it happens every single time. I know you can finish the mission in five minutes but it never seems to last long enough for a mad dash. Anyone else had problems like this? It doesn't seem related to any location or time in the level.

Its a common problem specific to that level apparently. The only way to circumvent at this point is to run and gun the level to complete it before it crashes.

Erm, so I've just got to run in and spam everyone? How come it wasn't fixed in the patch?

I don't have that problem but i have seen it posted else where, people pegged it on outdated sound drivers, so try getting the newest drivers for your sound card, if that should work, but if it doesn't try turning off sound hardware acceleration and go at it again, that should do it.

On a side note, you can get SA rating in about 10-15 mins in that level, and most of it is waiting.

Call me crazy, but I've never been interested in the silent assassin rating.

I noticed EAX defaults to on, but I turned it off. I've got onboard sound, and AC97 is hardly a big problem cause. I'll poke around, in any case.
