How is it that you guys are playing the game when the worthless goober at my local EB says it isn't released here until the fucking THIRTEENTH?

Because they're from other countries or utilize the internet, Vympel. I feel your pain though, what with being an Aussie as well.

Listen, when the US members were talking about it, I thought 'nifty' and went to the store. Not till the 6th, they said... well, the 6th came and went, so they can fuck off. Bloody EB.

Very weird. I just played it, and there was no trouble at all. Well, other than the fact that the tension meter just spiked and everyone decided to kill me, despite there being no reason for it. And me playing on Professional and all... sigh. Sometimes, one just has to restart, I guess.
What's with the red thing anyway? It's slowmo with infinite ammo before you die... but sometimes you don't. Seems to be random?
Not really. It's slowmo indicating that you're about to die, unless you score a few headshots (in a row, I think), in which case you're pulled back from the brink of death. Of course, that doesn't help you much when there're still a lot of enemies around you, but it's still kinda fun. Also intensely frustrating, of course.

So it helps you if you've got a moderate number of guys near you. It hinders, and prevents you from loading, if there is one, none of heaps of guys near you. What a horrible feature. :)

It's a good idea, just less than ideal in precisely the sort of situation you find yourself in in the finale. :?

Yep, methinks the developers could have given that one a bit more thought...

It'd be fine if it didn't STOP YOU LOADING THE GAME. I'm rarely in a situation to use it and I'd rather save then sit through their l33tzor excellent slomo sick effect. :)

Agreed. Like the sniping issue, I'm kinda wondering what the devs had in mind there. On the other hand, they're danes, so I'll cut them some slack... :P

If you get three headshots during the slow motion segment, you don't die. (Once per mission)

Did anyone think the final was novel and very exciting? I found it surreal and amusing to "rise from the dead" and then start blasting down the Franchise leader and his henchmen who had been tormenting you for the entire length of the game's story.

Oh hell fucking yes.

I usually have it worked out so that I pick the agent sitting at my left as I rise for a headshot, then turn right and shooting the black agent who's partially covered by the candlestick (it's a bit more tricky, he sometimes ducks), then continuing right to shoot both agents behind the Franchise asshole. If you do it right, you can get both with one shot. Then I immediately start running left from the bier toward the altar, duck behind it, and kill the rest. The only problem is the reload, I usually hit it immediately upon running.

That’s weird; I can sedate sleeping people just fine. I’ve sedated/poisoned the sleeping girl in the hotel where you start the “A Murder Of Crows” level loads of times.

Are you messing with me? I've waved the syringe at sleeping guys all over the place (well, the first two levels, since the bloody game keeps crashing ;)) and nothing. When they're standing, the cursor goes red and you can jack them, but when they're lying down it never happens. Even tried to climb onto the bed and do it, but they woke up. And the 'napping' guys around the place? Their eyes might be closed, but they can SENSE needles. :)

Nope. I just went and tried to sedate the sleeping girl in the hotel and poisoning one of the sleeping guards in ”A Vintage Year" and it worked both times.
You’re playing it on the computer, right? I’ve got X-Box version, maybe that’s got something to do with it.

You can do it in the PC version. Stand near their feet and aim the syringe at the torso.

Demmit. Why is it so inflexible? What about the beds that you can't stand at the foot of? Bah. I still call poor design. :)

There have been problems with sedating even standing people. Ofttimes when I've creapt up on some poor schmo, I've been unable to activate the sedation feature for at least ~1 second. That can, needless to say, prove quite fatal.

Yeah, I've found sedation pretty dodgey. But cripes, I've stood next to beds and tried to sedate people, and the cursor doesn't change colour - in short, I got no idea that it was even possible. Nuts.

PS, what's with the 'you only ruin outfits when they're dead or you're wearing it' thing? I've killed people by shotgun to the torso, and it's all good - I get nicked in the arm by a .35, and suddenly everyone knows.

Or if they're killed by a 6 foot drop, they make an ankle deep pool of blood. Sure, that makes sense.

Much like GR:AW, I got sick and fucking tired of waiting. Why the fuck are release dates for Australia so arse-backwards, and Tassie more-so. It drives me fucking insane and leads me more and more to love systems like Direct-2-Drive and Steam.

OK, its a shitty system, but what happens is, if you can get 3 (count 'em, 3) headshots before you die, you get revived back from that state and can continue on.
