Look what amazon recommended me

I wonder if anyone is willing to buy it just to support the people who spoofed ID so well.

I just bought it. It's one of the more intelligent humor books I've ever read and yet you can still open it up to any page and start reading for a good laugh. The whole thing is one clever ICE BURN on ID, yet it has enough midget and pirate jokes for everyone to enjoy.

I highly recommend it!

#$%#% And I was soo going to carry this thing around to read from but... look..

What the Book ACUTALY looks like

And I was soo going to buy a crate and start sticking them in Hotel rooms. But they went the cheap route on packaging.
I'll still get one of course, but I was sooo hoping for a Bible-lookalike package.

It's really shitty that the publisher gave it the look of a Spot the Dog storybook, rather than the gold edged high-quality leather bound look of a decent Bible. Still, perhaps I shall get one as well.

Why would the publisher want to lose money?

If the Gospel of the FSM was a hardbound book, it would probably cost about $27, and only the hard-core fans would buy one. At $13, the book is affordable for any casual fan and won't intimidate customers who hear about the book as a recommendation.

I think the ideas in the book are what's important. If it sells well, and if the FSM car tags sell well, I'm sure the publishers will put out a nicer, hardbound copy.

Besides, trade paper backs scream "fun" where hardcovers scream "stodgy" or "boring".

I have a copy of Bart Simpson's guide to life, and it's hardback with decent quality to it. If they could get a good backer, they could produce a fair few Bible copies as a limited edition for die-hards. If it takes-off, hey presto. New religion.

I'd not only buy one, but openly carry it around and tell random people the Good Noodles.

Hmmm. Some how I don't think FSM quite has the popularity of the Simpsons just yet.

I know that someday they'll make a Bible-look a like, but for now I guess I buy the current edition.

Like that guy Gideon? Have you ever had that? Stayed at a hotel and found a Bible from that guy? I'm certain he's stalking me, or has somehow put copies of his Bible in every hotel in the world, but that's impossible for one man to do, so maybe I'm just unlucky bumping into where he's been.

Oh man. How great would it be to start taking the Gideon Bible from every hotel room you stay at? I might just start doing that.

The whole point of them putting the Bibles there is for people to take them. If everyone started taking the Bibles every time, maybe that'd lead to them actually having trouble keeping up with "demand"?

Frankly, I just love the mental image of having dozens of Bibles stacked against the wall in my room.

Better yet find out where a bunch of JWs live and knock on their doors and try and convert them. Stop by once a week until they convert or get a restaining order. Let them see just how much a pain in the ass they can be.

I to was annoyed to find it just a paper back. But I still have my black faux leather and gold leaf copy of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy omnibus, so I'm set in the fake bible department.

I imagine they'll get around to making an edition like that if the current one sells well enough.
