Still, they wouldn't price such a powerful chip that low if they were having trouble producing them in high quantity. Therefore, I predict only mild shortages.

We'll see. For me Conroe is available once I can walk into a store and buy one, and I don't know if this will be in July or in Octobre.

I specced out a computer on Zip Zoom Fly and then an (almost) identical one on Newegg today. The prices were almost exactly the same. With ZZF you can get overnight shipping for not that much extra, but Newegg's basic shipping is faster than ZZF's basic shipping. If you live outside of California, neither one of them charges tax. So the statement that you can save a bunch by using ZZF is wrong.

Newegg charges me tax, and I'm in new jersey...

Newegg has a warehouse in NJ, so you'll pay sales tax there. I've heard that ZZF's customer service has gone downhill as of late, though

They do? Everything I've ordered from newegg has originated from California.
