On a second read-through, is he trying to say that the Galactic Empire is almost communistic? Please, tell me he misspelled something.

 The most bizarre thing is that he's from Canada too. Which means that he must think I'm an American, which in turn means he never even noticed the fact that I identified my alma mater as the University of Waterloo right on the front page of the site.

But you can tell this is not a person who does a lot of reading.

Mr. Wong you give him too much credit. It's far too likely he either figured University of Waterloo was American since Colleges are an American thing (in his mind) or just forgot that there were people from other countries at all on the internet.

An actual concious decision to think of you as an American strikes me as far too much expenditure of his brain's system resources to be a good one at all.

And I'd say his MSN profile says 19 to get through 18+ filters, assuming there's anything like that on MSN. After all, setting it to 18 is obvious, but 19 is clever. But I may just be saying that out of secret harboured hope for humanity that makes me refuse to believe this guy is at or above my own age.

Mike McPhallus wrote:
What a load of horseshit!!! The Empire sucks ass!

Death stars are [built] like crap and only 2 were ever [built] before a Rebel faction took over the Empire.

Star wars condradicts itself when it comes to speeds; e.g. Han solo CLEARLY says that the Millenium Falcon can do .5 past lightspeed. That means in all actuality hyperdrive is slower then warp. Considering warp 2 would be more then twice as fast so first off the empire shouldnt be able to move very far at all. Maybe this "galaxy" far far away is actually a very small compact galaxy compared to the Milky way!

I have no clue as to where you get your information regarding proposed GW on weopons it is obviously flawed. Give me a break "turbolasers?" What the hell [is] that garbage? Any form of laser wouldn't amount to trillions of GWs of power!!

Another ability of the federation that you so conveniently forget is the use of time travel in many many star trek episodes and movies. It is shown how federation ships can move through time...with this ability it doesnt even matter how big your [crummy] empire is, the federation would just go back in time and dismantle the empire [BEFORE] it even starts!!

Another disadvantage to Star Wars is the lack of holographic imagery. The only holo technology is used to convey messages from one system to another. In Trek we can use our holographic projectors to project images of other ships throwing off your stone age [Imperial] ships not to mention cloaking technology (even [THOUGH] it is illegal in the Federation) I highly doubt it wouldn't be used against the Empire.

Another element in Trek is the use of alliances and even [THOUGH YOU] might not want to include other races in the battle, in all fairness the Federation's new allies such as the klingons and (from the looks of Nemesis's ending) the Romulans would join in the fight against a "so called" threat to the alpha quadrant. Not to mention the Empire is a bunch of crap and unlike the Federation it was destroyed by a band of rebels!!
while the Federation lives on!!

So kiss my ass Star Wars geek!! Go ahead and try to disprove me! I'd love to hear your feeble Imperialistic propaganda!! You twist everything to suit [your] Imperial bias. Your site is full of half truths and carefully portrayed deceptions. Half of the things you say make little to no sense!!!!!

Of course turbolasers are lasers, you moron! [Do] you think George Lucas had no clue there was something called a laser? He just added the word turbo to it!! At least trek was a bit more creative!! All turbo lasers are, are glorified lasers!

And as far your thing about imperial fighters, of course they are crap. The cheesy little Falcon took [four] of them out at one time and that ship was a hunk of shit. Everyone in the Star Wars movies that ever comes into contact with it even comments on it being a hunk of [junk] not to mention the amount of time it spends being repaired!!

Now as far as starfleet officers vs anyone including jedi: Any Starfleet officer could [immobilize] a Jedi with a Phaser beam unlike Blasters. The beam is continuous and wouldnt be able to be blocked by lightsabres and if that failed, phasers have a wide dispersion beam [which] would clearly [immobilize] anyone other then possibly Darth [Sidious]!

Another thing Id like to ask is [this]: Why is it The Federation vs The Empire? In most movies the villains are usually portrayed as grossly over powered...having the empire vs the federation isnt a clear demonstration of star wars vs star trek as you dismiss so [quickly] . A more [truthful] way would either to have the Rebels vs the Federation or the Borg and/or Q, Romulans or [Remans] vs the Empire, in which case the Empire would fall to every one [except] possibly the Romulans.

Another thing I tend to wonder about is you, favouring an almost communistic, evil dictatorship known to every one as an empire... Maybe the US government needs to be informed of your ideological bias ha ha ha

I like both trek and star wars but trek is clearly better not only in terms of the technology and what not, but the fact that theres been [six television] series and [ten] movies for Trek and only [six] movies for Star Wars. [That leaves] you guys to rely on books to get your so called "canon" evidence. Wowee! A book! Feel proud of all those star wars books... theres great visual affects inside them hahahaha

Thank you for the translation Mario, I was actually able to read it. I had the intention of replying, but after the first paragraph or two I didn't feel like it anymore. Too much stupidity, no coherent arguments. How am I supposed to refute nothing? The answer is I can't, so there is no point in bothering. The only reply to that pile of shit is, *points to main site*.

If we take what Mike said to be accurate, there's no way he could think that he wasn't speaking out-of-country.
Dumbass wrote:maybe the US government needs to be informed of your ideological bias ha ha ha
This statement only squares away with him thinking "internet == one country" only if he is a USer and thinking he was speaking with another USer, as he believes Mike to be under US jurisdiction. If Mike's right and he's Candian, then he's a Canadian speaking with someone he thinks is in the US. Therefore, he's communicating with someone across the US/Canadian border (in his mind), and therefore has to know that the internet is composed of more than just the US.

Or he's unbelievably dumb. Take your pick.

Okay, I suspect you're right since I didn't know he was Canadian himself, but really I think the bottom is plausable too since he's already demonstrated the ability.

Excellent, now I can see the well thought out and logical argument hidden behind the wall o' text and atrocious grammar.
.... oh wait, no I can't. What an inert pile of drivel. How can someone sit in front of a keyboard and manage to type out absolutely nothing?

I see. So the fact that the Star Trek franchise has produced vast quantities of garbage means it is somehow superior? Good grief. And apparently he doesn't seem to grasp that the definition of what is canon and what is not is descided by the respective copyright holders of the franchises in question, and that this may vary from franchise to franchise.

Moreover, he seems to be claiming that book franchises are somehow inherently inferior to those found in visual media. How quaint.

Yeah, I wonder how could one prove this wrong. Hmm.
How a bout this,
Stephen King: Novels vs Films.
In almost every instance his book series are far superior to the visual media they spawn.

Or how about the many book sci-fi franchises which have lasted 10+ years compared to just about every TV sci-fi which is finished after a 5-7 years tops.

Star Trek: The Animated Series.

Of course, considering how dumb this guy is, I wouldn't be very surprised if he didn't know about TAS and just miscounted.

Well but of course, the one in his head.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
