Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

Well, games like, for example, Donkey Kong, Nintendo owns the rights to all characters, the game scenario, the title, and published it, and in all likelyhood will have it on the VC.General Zod wrote:If it wasn't developed by Nintendo, then it's not exactly a first party Nintendo title. So don't expect it to be on there.Praxis wrote:
Developed by Rare, but published by Nintendo.
I wonder who owns the rights to Snake Rattle and Roll?

Cheetahmen I & II, of course.
Lylat Wars
Paper Mario, perhaps
The Indiana Jones game on the 64, if they release it
I can't really think of many others; if there's a game I wanted to play, chances are I already have the original or one of the rereleases for other platforms. However, if the SNES/N64 titles come with graphics or performance improvements, the list will grow dramatically.
And Praxis, any word on wether Nintendo is planning to distribute some of their unreleased games ? I'd love to see Starfox 2 on a big screen - 3D space battles against massive capital ships, anyone

Really? I hope Lucasarts does some patching with that if they allowed it, since it was buggy as hell when I tried it. I'd actually prefer a remake with the Tomb of the Emperor engine, to be honest.Bounty wrote:The Indiana Jones game on the 64, if they release it
EDIT: Oh, and you know what'd be fucking sweet to have on the VC? The original Clock Tower: AGTP already did a sound translation of it, and it could probably be modified to trigger the rumble during panics and certain events - HELL! You could probably even use the Wiimote to aim your cursor and do stuff! This game would be perfect for a Wii launch!

This has been another blunder by you friendly local idiot.
It got a few good reviews and I never got a chance to play it since the PAL release was inexplicably cancelled. From what I understand it also used a number of programming tricks and shortcuts to make it look better then the PC version.Really? If they've bought out the rights for it, then yes, it is a first party title. If it's stlil owned by another company and Nintendo simply published it, well, don't hold your breath.Praxis wrote: Well, games like, for example, Donkey Kong, Nintendo owns the rights to all characters, the game scenario, the title, and published it, and in all likelyhood will have it on the VC.
