I think it's pretty lame that most other boards edit things they don't like. It's not only dishonest, but it means there's no examples, no concrete precedent that can be linked to and used in a debate. All that's left is someones recollection of what was edited out, and that's hopeless.

He's being a dishonest sophistic asshole as usual. Traviss explicitly stated somewhere that LFL didn't give her any specific number, which means she made it up herself. It just got past the editors into the book and now she and DM are claiming that LFL gave them the number in ths first place.

But I guess pointing anything like that out to them is just going to get people banned.

EDIT: I like how he uses Iraq of an example of how technology can beat numbers. The US Army stated that it needed more troops and the main reason for the massive insurgency that we can't crush is becuase of the low number of troops.

Every time I try to look at a thread on the SW forums, I get nothing but a blank page; I can browse every other part of the site but not the forum threads. I can only see these pages if I look at a cache from Google.
