It says it took over a year to build. If that were the main focus of your free time, it's not unimaginable that you could design and construct something like that. Really, aquiring the proper parts to build it is probably what was the most difficult aspect.

Damn cool. There are national lego building contests. A friend of mine in Houston built a 4-foot high lego trojan horse.

I have seen A Gundam in Lego

It could have been... 3-5 foot tall.

What I would LOVE to see is the white city of Minas Tirith in lego. That would rule.

One of my fellow club memebers built a Legoized version of Minas Tirith that is pretty sharp, as soon as I help hime rebuild the gate house. I'll find pictures somewhere.
