Pie!

Post by Balrog »

No, not the mathematical symbol :D Just sitting here eating some delicious cherry pie (trying my best not to spill on the keyboard or clothes) and wondering what kind of pie the denizens of SD.net like to eat. My favorite is cherry, followed closely by apple and blueberry. Can't stand pumpkin for some reason, everyone else in my family loves it.
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

Pumpkin pie, for me. Everything else is good, but just a tad too sweet.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I picked blueberry. If I were younger, I might have gone with apple or cherry.

Steak and Kidney Pie. Preferably cooked by my Grandma. Frey Bentos Tinned Steak and Kidney Pies are also acceptable as over here, pretty much Frey Bentos pies is all I can get from the import shops. And even they are rare.

I might have to cook one up when I get home now. :)

I see neither Chocolate Cream nor Banana Cream on that list. This is inexcusable.

Pumpkin and Apple are good, but Blueberry is the best on that list for me.

Pumpkin pie, but it must be accompanied by vanilla ice cream.

Pumpkin, with lots of whipped cream. :D

Well, technically I prefer butternut squash pie, but it's basically the same thing only less stringy.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!

I've only had pumpkin pie once in my life, so I can't really remember what it tasted like, but I remember it was good.

However, apple pie is overall superior, especially when combined with some vanilla ice cream. In fact, I just had one such apple pie a few moments ago. :)

It's absolutely delectable, especially with whipped cream on top and strawberries on the side, as I recall. It's a fitting end to a wonderfully filling Thanksgiving feast.

I'll say blueberry. I'm not sure why, I just really like the taste. Maybe it's because the blue colour is kindof cool.

Lemon pie with whipped cream instead of meringue. My second favorite would be pumpkin. I prefer pies with a smooth consistency.
