Meh, I have scripts set up to refresh the page and take a screenshot around the projected time (unfortunately running 'while true; do xwd -root >screendump`date %T`.xwd; done' w/ the autorefresh firefox extension will eat up disk space on my server quickly). Of course, it is my goal that my posts will be the 2*10^6th (which should be made easier by the fact that most people will be asleep).
Post rate at this moment compared to the last time I checked appears to be ~33/hour. So 26 hours unfortunately >_> - too far ahead to pin down to set the autorefresh job narrowly enough to avoid running out of disk space and wasting Mike's bandwidth.

EDIT: Woah, it just jumped up by 20 posts in the last two minutes. I guess some people were actually aiming for that 2 mil mark.

Hrm, looks like it'll be sooner than 26 hours... is there a way to plot the # posts over time w/o running Lynx to dump the HTML pages and recording that over time?

Ironically it will be deleted later too so it isn't preservable like the real 2,000,000th post.

I think post #2 million this time around goes to Illuminatus Primus. Of course, that might change when Testing gets a purge.

We'll be down below two million again after all the spam in Testing gets flushed.

No damned way our 2 millionth post is going to be the result of hundreds of spams in Testing. I just killed it all. We're back down under 2 million.

You're probably going to get alot of Spamlike posts around 2 million anyway- with people trying to be the "lucky poster".Darth Wong wrote:No damned way our 2 millionth post is going to be the result of hundreds of spams in Testing. I just killed it all. We're back down under 2 million.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

Which really makes me considering just leaving off from the board for however long this takes, 'cause the last thing I want to see while poking around here is a bunch of spammy non-sense. If I want that I'll go visit GameFAQs or something.
