No doubt more than a few will attempt to do so (hell, if I'm around, I might try); hopefully, someone will snag one. And as PU-239 says, there may be a slowdown in posting as the moment approaches, especially if it coincides with a normally off-hour.

Meh, I have scripts set up to refresh the page and take a screenshot around the projected time (unfortunately running 'while true; do xwd -root >screendump`date %T`.xwd; done' w/ the autorefresh firefox extension will eat up disk space on my server quickly). Of course, it is my goal that my posts will be the 2*10^6th

(which should be made easier by the fact that most people will be asleep).

Post rate at this moment compared to the last time I checked appears to be ~33/hour. So 26 hours unfortunately >_> - too far ahead to pin down to set the autorefresh job narrowly enough to avoid running out of disk space and wasting Mike's bandwidth.

I cheated and pressed Submit on my Happy 2 Millionth Post testing topic once it was at 1999999 so it might be me if my modem was fast enough.

Ironically it will be deleted later too so it isn't preservable like the real 2,000,000th post.

True, it is more appropriate the 2,000,000th post be something more than "Zomg Image Macro" or "Lol 2,000,000" in the Testing Forum. We'll be there tomorrow (by CST time), by my calculations-at-a-glance psychic guess mode.

You're probably going to get alot of Spamlike posts around 2 million anyway- with people trying to be the "lucky poster".

Which really makes me considering just leaving off from the board for however long this takes, 'cause the last thing I want to see while poking around here is a bunch of spammy non-sense. If I want that I'll go visit GameFAQs or something. Read one of those five hundred post topics about whatever latest Internet fad is going around.
