They include:

About Schmidt
The Hours
About a Boy
Chicago

Antwone Fisher
The Quiet American

I notice that Star Trek: Nemesis isn't on that list.

I haven't seen a single movie on that list. Though I do plan to see the first two.

I have the chance to go and watch it, but I have to work early Wenesday morning. In all hopes it's 3 hourse like FotR was. Heh. Now I see why all of those damned Warsie simmers on AoL were hyped up about the Lord of the Rings.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Not going to see.neoolong wrote:The American Film Institute has just released its list of the top ten films of this year.

I'll see that one at least once in the theater.neoolong wrote: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Haven't heard of these two before.neoolong wrote: About Schmidt
The Hours
I doubt I'll see this Hugh Grant film. Actually I'll probablly try to avoidneoolong wrote: About a Boy
seeing this one.
Haven't heard of these either.neoolong wrote: Chicago

Antwone Fisher
The Quiet American
Salma Hayek is in this one (anyone know if she gets naked?) so there's an off chance I'll see it sometime. I'm not really into Frida Kahlo's painting, even if they are kind of cool in a trippy sort of way, so a movie about her isn't a big draw for me.neoolong wrote: Frida

What? How could they?
Not really all that impressed with the list, but then I hardly ever find critical favorites to be my favorites.
