I made this because I think it's funny, using Microsoft Publisher, a Googled image of a gavel, and some patience comparing fonts. Okay, it's not haw-haw funny, but I got a kick out of it.

You should try doing something in the same style as the iPod adverts, ie black/white silohette on a bright coloured background. That'd be cool.

Making the brown parts black and the silver parts white should do it.

Maybe a silhouette of some guy in shackles.

edit: Or maybe a gavel laying sideways, so we can tell it's a gaval.

I did try the black-white-colour look, but I'd either have to draw an actual gavel or settle for crap - there just aren't any good images out there. I like MrDod's attempt - it's at least as good as what I came up with trying the same. So I went for the iMac advert type as opposed to the iPod advert look.

On a similar vein, Mike's surly look in the Adonis awards a year or so ago was too good to pass up for this:

Even though I couldn't get the stare angle correct, it's a decent approximation for a guy with Paint.
