Does she expect people to be impressed by her constant self-declarations of being a "journo"? FOXNews has "journos" too, and in fact, for a "journo" to cover a particular field (such as becoming a defense correspondent or science correspondent) hardly means or even vaguely implies any particular knowledge of that field, as countless butchered science journalism articles have demonstrated.

If you consider the sort of people she's dealing with (aside from her syncophants that is.) then that makes perfect sense. I suppose its sort of an "appeal to authority" mentality, like "I'm an important person, I'm used to dealing with facts, you can believe me when I say I'm right because I say so." When you couple this fact with her rather aggressive "information suppression" tactics (especially of recurring criticism and of past events, particularily through her flunkies) her tactics are rather obvious.

She's basically making sure her propoganda gets out where people can see it, while using others (IE Dark Moose) to suppress dissenting or opposing viewpoints on the grounds of "harassment."

In this context, to these people, the substance of the arguments matter little compared to all the rhetoric and emotional appeals she makes. That, plus her aggressiveness in pursuing critics and the intimidation factor (both with her and others) means she basically gets awy with it.

Being a journalist is like being a singer, a psychic, or a poet: You can be one just by claiming to be one. It's not like being a doctor, lawyer or engineer where you have to meet certain standards. A "journo" is someone who is too much of a phony to be a journalist. That kind of sums up Traviss to a tee.

Sadly, I'm told that your PLB blog has already had a visit from the gentleman who made the hate video about me (the one that was banned by Youtube for offensive content) , and who has a long record of abuse against both me and Moose. He tracks me (and I believe Moose too) around the internet by Googe alert, posting abusive material, and now he's found you all at PLB. Exactly. I've considered posting about this whole debacle at some other forums that I go to, but I haven't because I just know that KT Jelly would come over with Dark Moose in tow. I mean, she fucking posts on Amazon.com where people briefly comment about her books, and no-name forums with 5 active members like Bryan Lambert's.

The mere mention of her name is enough to bring her into a forum, and I like those other places that I mentioned too much to see them dragged into this shit.

She won't come here becuase she doesn't need to. All she's needed to do is suppress her critics on other venues (IE TFN) while simultaneously peddling her own propoganda. That hardly needs stepping into a forum where she would be expected (God forbid) to actually discuss the issue.

I think she'd be invited to argue her position and then used for a chewtoy. Might even happen without much flaming initially, but since she'll only play with a deck stacked in her favor, as it were, the whole point is moot.

BTW, those (very) few PLBers who decided not to take a money shot from Dark Moose so they can stay in Traviss' good graces have moved on to new digs. ALREADY, someone they've identified as a sw.com mod was there threatening them, and trolling. Something interesting; my comments have been left untouched, but a comment after mine was deleted. Interesting the way the worm turns.

BTW, the troll's name was "ThinBlueLine". Those of you that have waded into the sw.com cesspool know that mods are identified by their names appearing in blue.

I don't know if any of you saw our conversation, but TBL and I had a nice friendly chat back at his blog. I decided that enough was enough. I'm not saying I "showed him", but yesterday, I checked on his blog at bluevanguard.blogspot.com. Nothing. Error 404, cannot find requested blog. As you've undoubtedly noticed today, his comments no longer plague our existence. He backed down.

TBL, a troll and a coward. It'd be a shame if he were a sw.com MOD, but then again, I wouldn't be surprised if he were. He was constantly talking to me about how "tolerant" the MODs are being with the PLB, and how they've stored the deleted comments from the little tooth-and-claw fight back there a while ago. However, another possibility is that he's just a bitter, anti-PLB troll who likes to scare us out of our pants.

Either way, he backed down, and I'm pouring another round of PGGBs for three reasons: 1), in celebration, 2), just because, and 3), it's my birthday.

Drink to your heart's content, or until your brain has had enough abuse for today...
