I refer you to the Daigo versus Justin Wong CvS2 final, where Daigo was at a sliver of life.

Konami, by just a hair for me over Capcom. Tecmo did some good games, put not on the same level. I never bought many games for my NES,SNES, PS1 or 2, but I knew if it was Kon or Cap game, it was a 99% guranteed good game. Metal Gear is the deciding factor for me. I've lost many hours on both manufacts. Ninja Gaiden is the only good Tecmo game I remember.

Capcom always struck me as rediculously limited in ability - they cranked out hundreds of games, and when they did hit on a success they latched onto it and milked it to death, in the form of piles of Megaman, Street Fighter and Resident Evil titles - arguably the most overworked franchises in the industry.
Konami, on the other hand, always struck me as a company willing to do something different, even if they didn't always strike instant perfection the way Capcom did with their hit arcade franchises. But when you played a good Konami game it really felt like a more interesting gaming experience.

Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.
I voted Konami simply for:
Silent Hill 2
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Metal Gear: Solid
CONTRA
Everything else is just gravy. Capcom games were fun, but like its already been mentioned, they were also just variations of the same thing, with the exception of Ducktales, Chip and Dale, and Willow, which were damn fun games, but just not on the level of Symphony of the Night or Metal Gear

While they all make great games, Tecmo just doesn't have the quantity of good games to compete with Konami and Capcom. I went with Capcom because they've got Megaman X.

you know this is really hard so i went for all three simply because all their games are good. I love Street Fighter 2, Capcom Vs. Street Fighers, Marvel Vs. Street Fighter 2. Konami has metal gear solid, TMNT games and some others and Tecmo had tecmo bowl.

Of the three listed, Capcom by far. I've plowed so many hours into their games that I could've written a few novels had I applied that time into writing, and it was actually because of them that I first got into writing in the first place (Oh, shut up, like you haven't done fan fiction for your favorite stuff before).
I mean, yeah, you've got the obvious franchises like Mega Man, X, and Legends (Quiet, naysayers!) plus Resident Evil, Street Fighter, the 194X games, Darkstalkers, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Breath of Fire, and Final Fight, but there're also craploads of other sweet games that they've put out; Commando's just legendary, you've got the D&D games that I've put so many quarters into that I could buy the cabinets, Destiny of an Emperor is alsmost like a feudal Chinese Pokemon, The Little Mermaid was the shit back when I started playing the NES in earnest (mind you, I'm about 7 at the time) Dino Crisis 1 was good while 2 was awesome, and then you've got all the insane one-off top-downs they've put out over the years like Giga Wing, Mars Matrix, Legendary Wings, Carrier Air Wing, and Varth - Operation Thunderstorm. I don't know quite what it is, but somehow, for me, they just have it.
Not to say that they're not without their mistakes, of course, what with the awful stateside box art left and right, the bad dubbing you'd get in some of their games, and that horrific abomination that was Resident Evil Gaiden; but everything considered, they're still an awesome game company, and my gaming company.
