I saw Broadway's Lion King today

Post by Shinova »

and I thought it was glorious. :)

Definetly a spectacle to behold. I loved the music (though Lion King's music was superb to begin with), and a great experience throughout.

Anyone else ever seen this musical?

I've heard from my friend who has seen it on Broadway that the opening is very exhilerating. People dressed in constumes walking around in stilts from the back doors onto the stage correct?

I saw it in London a few years back, it really is amazing.
However the music is blatantly inferior to that of the movie, which is annoying, apart from that though it's an excellent show and musical, though I don't know if the American version is as good as the London show :P

I saw it in London, it pails in comparison to the movie. but is otherwise good, for a stage show.

Yes, they do that. I thought some of the costumes were kinda inventive somewhat though.

Yes, the opening is great. The person who played Rafiki on our show was really great at that.
