I shot some people the finger while driving. Does that count?
That always counts!

Eh, I'm glad you had a good time, but Hershey Park isn't the best themepark PA has to offer. If you want to go to a good un, come to Pittsburgh and go to Kennywood. Our coasters are better and there are at least 100 times fewer religious wackos.

However, Hershey Park was the location of my glorious mastery of Super Street Fighter II where I managed to play for a full 45 minutes on 50 cents, so I do like it somewhat. :)

The world is full of amusement parks with good roller coasters. If all I wanted was to ride on good roller coasters, I could have gone to Paramount Canada's Wonderland 20 minutes away. Besides, what kind of name is Kennywood? Does the park get killed every week, only to be resurrected the following week?

There's also the whole chocolate thing. Personally, I like theme/amusement parks which put more emphasis on the "theme" part.

Great pictures. Looks like a good time was had by all.

I was at Hershey Park years ago with my sister and our parents. For some reason, out of all the fun things to see and do there, my strongest memory is that of the street lights shaped like Hershey Kisses! I don't know if they still have those there, and I didn't see any in the pictures so far.

How much time did you spend at Gettysburg?

I didn't take any pictures of the Hershey's Kiss streetlamps, but they're still there.

The better part of a day, wandering around looking at things and touring the battlefield for a bit.

I hope to get back to Gettysburg again, soon. When I was last there, I was too young to fully appreciate it. I do remember scrambling over the huge boulders at Devil's Den, and hiking along fields in the humid summertime. Incidentally, there is ongoing debate as to whether there should be casino or casinos that some people want built near Gettysburg.

So how much weight did you guys gain while out there?

I gained a few pounds, but Rebecca and the boys don't seem to have gained anything.

If you don't return home 20lbs heavier with a tummy ache and diabetes you didn't receive the full Hershey experience. You'll need to bring them back next year.

Rebecca would never allow that to happen. She is determined not to get fat.

The last pic, the one with Rebecca under the 'Sodom' sign is priceless - not because of the sign, but the hint of the smirk on Rebecca's face. I say 'hint' because it is pretty low quality so I can't truely tell. 8)

1. They market themselves as "the world's #1 amusment park" or something along those lines, but seemingly few people outside of the Pittsburgh area have ever heard of them.

2. Someone on an online game I used to frequent, who lived in the boondocks of central PA, started ranting after 9/11 that he was "in the crosshairs" because he lived near Hershey Park.
PA also has Lakemont Park in Altoona with the oldest operating coaster: Leap the Dips. It also has Knoebels that has a wooden roller coaster that was moved from one location to another and appropriately renamed Phoenix. And in my home town of Allentown we have Dorney Park which is currenlty run by Cedar Fair of Cedar Point of Ohio.

If you zoom in on the original, she is smirking a bit, with a slightly lop-sided expression like she's winking.
