My, aren't you the little statist here, CSS Clone?C.S.Strowbridge wrote:I think we should fry his ass.
Oh. I thought it was during an interview that he said those things after the speech. Not during the speech. My mistake.XPViking wrote:Neoolong,
According to the article, he made those remarks while addressing an assembly. His remarks were then subsequently reported.

I think that this is actually the more interesting of the articles:C.S.Strowbridge wrote:I think we should fry his ass.
Apparently it's also not correct behaviour for reporters to report the information they hear.Apart from his attack on Jews, Ahenakew also referred to non-aboriginal Canadians as "immigrants", criticized the government for interfering in the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Association and complained about bigotry suffered by his six-year-old great grandson in a Saskatoon school.
He went on to say "40 years down the road we're going to be taking over. . . We're going to be the government . . . You (non-Indians) are going to be the Indians and we're going to be the bosses . . . And you better start preparing right now."
Of course the Germans would have no reason to lie about this. [/sarcasm]What is just as disgusting is that Ahenakew has obviously held these poisoned opinions for years. During his speech, he said while he was a soldier in the Canadian Army in Germany during the late 1950s, Germans told him that the Jews had started the war and that they "damn near owned all of Germany prior to the war." He added that Hitler was only trying ensure that Jews didn't take over Germany or Europe and that was why he "fried six million of those guys."
Sadly, this isn't the first time I have heard something like this.He went on to say "40 years down the road we're going to be taking over. . . We're going to be the government . . . You (non-Indians) are going to be the Indians and we're going to be the bosses . . . And you better start preparing right now."
Hopefully he's just a loney and not part of an organized movement.Graeme Dice wrote:I think that this is actually the more interesting of the articles:C.S.Strowbridge wrote:I think we should fry his ass.
