Anyone have TIE Fighter PC game screenshots?

Post by Galvatron »

I'm looking specifically for a screenshot of the scene of what seems to be a ginormous stadium with the Emperor in the center giving a speech.

It's more or less how I pictured the Senate (both before and during the Empire).

I'm sorry, but the number you have dialed is imaginary. Please rotate the phone by 90 degrees and try again.

IIRC they don't even sell the triple-game collections in stores anymore, but I got a copy of X-wing vs. TIE fighter plus Balance of Power expansion on Amazon.com for 15 bucks a year or two ago.

What version of the game do you have?

Anyway, I can run the game (on WinXP) but I have run into a different problem. How do I grab a screenshot that is not totally black?

P.S.- I find it amusing to see the Imperator's bridge tower being bigger than the Executor's.

P.S.#2 - I got the Trilogy edition and by god it's selling at exess of fourty dollars. Makes me glad I got it back then.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Interesting... It does look like as if the Grand Convocation Chamber was remodeled.

Or possibly an entirely new facility fashioned around the design of the Grand Convocation Chamber..?

Where are the audience/senators/whatever in that chamber? Are there any?

The Imperial Senate was disbanded offscreen during ANH.

Are those rings on the edges of the chamber supposed to be seats?

The yellow circled areas look like grandstands to me for seating senators / citizens, and the green circled items look like monitors so perhaps there is more seating below the shot.

They do look like grandstands, how did I miss that :?
Good point about the monitors, too.

Yeah, place is probably packed with pampered Coruscanti coming to worship the Emperor. Or something.

That's how I pictured the senate. Massively big, like a giant stadium.

In this case, the EU > canon.

That's most likely what Palpatine did. The Republic Senate had everyone encircling each other in a happy ball. The Imperial Senate has Palpatine above all others.

Man, that is a BIIIIG hall. Look at the banners stretching up a good few hundred meters!

Maybe that's what the top of the Senate chamber looks like. We never got an upward-facing view in the movies, IIRC.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.
