See Our Room ... Free of Charge!!
Today I took some pictures of Uts and my room, which also coincided with me repositioning my desk so I'd have a better arrangement with my computer, the TV, and such and such.
So now feast your eyes and take a look at where Uts and I more or less spend our entire day!
First a little trip down the memory hole. Below is how the room was arranged last Summer, with my computer set up to sacrifice space for privacy. The DSL modem and router are also in our room, on the floor in front of the TV resting on boxes. Notice also my (technically Uts' printer) and the mess of DVDs and model kits on the daybed:
Now flash-forward one year. There's been a shuffling of chairs, the modem and router have been relocated to our mom's studio next door with her new printer, my media tower (which holds all of my DVDs and CDs), a possibly temporary card table, and the reorientation of my desk. Before it was straight along the daybed, facing right out to the room, but today I moved it so it was more at a 45-ish-degree angle. Propped up at the end of Uts' desk is my new pen tablet:
Uts and his glare again. He gets rather grumpy when I take his picture like this. The dresser with all the crap on it is mine, which is often used as a sort of general stuff 'n junk depository. Note that it was slightly tidied after this picture was taken:
The other corner of the room, where you can see my bed and the corner of Uts'. Notice that there's now less crap on the daybed, and my cheap Don Post Boba Fett helmet and Haro multi-box on my shelf, as well as the Transformer/toy display case between our beds. At the foot of my bed is my guitar, which I should really start learning how to play again real soon:
So in short, that's our room.

Ooh, nifty! Lots of cool stuff (Cabbit! ) Looks like you could use a bit more shelving space though... .
I'd take pictures of mine, but you're going to get all whiny that I don't have a bed again .

"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia

Yes, thank you for not tidying up before shooting the photos and for letting me clear off that desk afterwards. And that table came in so I could do some sculpting on Saturday night. It will not be staying for longer than tomorrow.he dresser with all the crap on it is mine, which is often used as a sort of general stuff 'n junk depository.
But other than that table and my black desk, it's interesting to note that not only is the vast majority of the mess photographed yours, the vast majority of what you photographed at all is yours. Socks, magazines you don't read, action figure packaging, tote bags and purses, photo packets, novels and comic books you don't put away, the stuff around your bed, the stuff around my bed...
You really know how to make yourself presentable, don't you?

You have no idea. We have a lot of stuff that's packed up in our closets and storage space under the daybed, but it's mostly old stuff. My bookcase is actually at the end of the house on the same floor, and easily 90% of my toys and figures are still packed in the garage: usually the window sill above my bed would have all my Pinky Street figures across it, but it only has the latest two.Pick wrote:Looks like you could use a bit more shelving space though... .
The media tower was a real blessing: until then I kept my DVDs and CDs in file paper boxes.
The reason for the general spots of mess was that it simply slipped my mind--I was more interested in taking the images right then than tidying.
And yeah, I do have a lot of stuff...
I might make some more detail shots tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that.

Yeah, that's more or less true; I'm pretty rough on chairs.
And for the record, I actually went and got the folding chair for myself.

Perhaps that explains the "Free of Charge" advert in the thread title?J wrote:That is so wrong in so many ways that I don't even know where to begin...Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Yeah, that's more or less true; I'm pretty rough on chairs.

Eh heh...
Well, I've taken a few more pictures, but last night the disk acted up and gave Sarah a rough crash, so I'll probably need to take them again with another disk and prep them on Uts' machine.
