I have a fresh Mediawiki (same as Wikipedia) install ready to go. Register and then contact me if you want to be promoted to admin, though that probably won't be necessary since surely none of you will troll it.
This is hosted on my home computer, which is plenty powerful enough and almost always on, so it should be good enough for this purpose. Contact me if there is anything else I can do.
Of what material do you wish your statue to be made?

No, it's okay. I didn't want anyone to feel like I had unilateral control over our setting and operations anyway. It just seemed like the best way for me to contribute. The more oversight and imput from experts like yourself, the less likely I am to produce something monumentally stupid. I might have been able to handle it in a wanktastic AU like C&C but we definately need as much plausibility as we can muster now. I seriously am in favor of a multilateral story team, I just want on it.
I'd love to help with the story, at least for the rest of the summer, but be warned now: I haven't read Red Storm Rising, and I'm just making stuff up to try to sound good the rest of the time, so I'll need constant corrections and people saying, "Nope; this isn't realistic." Not that I doubt you guys'd do that.
Oh, and Destructionator? If I were Einy, I'd owe you a blowjob. Thanks!
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
The British/Australian/Soviet vessels will make up for that by having an extra drink each for our American buddies.

"It's a tank." "Uh, yes Sir. Please don't hurt us."
I have very little knowledge on actual military matters, and as such I might not make the best canidate for a member of the writing team, but my services are nonetheless available if needed.
Sorry for not replying in awhile, I've been buried in schoolwork, work-work and food poisoning. I'll try to get my write-up in the other thread ASAP, but I'm really tired tonight and my creativity is shot.
Everything's looking really cool, from what I've read over!

Hey, atg: Burkes have AEGIS radar, too, so I'll just assume you were picking on an old Spruance.

As far as I can tell, ESG-28 is rendezvousing in the northern Pacific; the Harbinger is going to be meeting up with CSG-5 before main fleet rendezvous; and we're waiting on the Vengeance and Renown. Does that sound right?

Correct, and when are the two task forces going to meet up? Harbinger still has to hand in the transfer papers to Admiral Christy and pick up the ESG's CO from the CSG; moving to the ESG afterwards would be made easier the two groups briefly rendezvoused somewhere around Cape Agulhas.
That sounds good. We'll meet there; most operations will probably take place in the Indian Ocean to suppress south-Asian pirate/rogue state/terrorist operations, and if we need to get into the Mediterranean, we can always send ships up through the Suez Canal.

Excellent! We can combine our incredibly loud music generators to create a literal wall of sound. See if we can't also transmit it through the radars.
According to wikipedia, "the Mohorovičić discontinuity is the boundary between the Earth's crust and the mantle."
According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

I know my Tico's AEGIS radar is up for musical jamming experiments right now. That's right, bitches. Your radars ain't got nothin' on the SPY-2C!

Okay, Surlethe, Ar-Adunakhor, Noble Ire, myself and phongn are hearby conscripted into the story team. How do you want to do this? Start a third thread with spoiler tags or wait until the wiki's up?

The Wiki is so up. I have been working on it for several hours. Take a look-see.
I was not aware naval CO's had callsigns. Their ships, yes, but not the captains themselves.

'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'

Ah. Some lists had Paul the airman and some had Peter the seaman, so since Paul was always air and Peter was always sea, I just created both. Deleting now.
And they don't Batman, that's for practical reference.
