A lot of people still buy Legos.

Hell, I would if I could afford what I needed.

Three thousand one hundred and four fucking pieces, a little kid couldn't carry the box, let alone put this thing together. The instruction manual alone is about a think as a goose bump book, taller, and 3x as wide.

Yeah, the only reason I got it is that I got a hundred dollars off of it cause I got it as soon as they advertised it in the Lego magazine and my mom recently got a contract to have her artwork reproduced that came with a $5000 signing bonus.

The instructions for the Lego ISD read like putting together an engine. A kid would look at them and say, "No way man, where's my Nintendo?"

I love LEGOs, and would buy them all the time if I had the money. I especially enjoy making up my own vehicles and such. I've been trying to make a design for a mech, but I'm going to have to buy more sets before I can do that...

I also want to build more complex versions of LEGO military vehicles I've created for a SF army.

Right now I have a unique design I'm tweaking. A Sith Star Fighter, detachable hyperdrive/extra speed section similar to the back of a Correllian corvette, heavy armor with supurbed one way facing deflector shielding on the wings. Wings can be opened on the side to cover it's ass in when flying, and can be closed around the "snub" of the fighter. Not perfect yet, the wings work on an hindge, I think I'll change it so it slides to the sides and back.

I have quite a lot that I have collected over the years, and have built many things, including this ship that's over 4 feet long. I also have a bunch of other assorted models.

man, i'd just about kill for that many legos... i could build another Vesuvius size model... (btw, for those unfamiliar with the Vesuvius, it's an original ship design, the model is just short of 4 and a half feet long (i'll post pics later), full internal superstructure from the keel up. the actual "hull" of the model is indeed plating and is not really required for structural integrity. yes, there is ribs, a central beam, and a spine.)

A lot of the pro-building sets for Legos are more like art and engineering projects, their complexity is pretty intense.

And so we have at least, what-- 3, 4 people here that have Lego ISD?

WE HAVE A FLEET! WooHooo!! Give them names and we'll put it on the fleet rosters and use them in fanfics!
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
