DS Technical Companion editions - any difference?

Post by apocolypse »

I was thinking about picking this up, but then noticed the site I was going to order from looked to have a couple of different editions. Just wondering if anyone knew whether or not there was any real difference between them, and if so which one was better to pick up. Along the same line of thought, many EU works have a couple of different editions, sometimes more. Are the newer ones typically better/more informative, or is there not much of a difference to note?

I should state that while I think I pretty much know exactly what you're talking about, your post has a strange overall vagueness to it.

Do you mean a difference between the first and second edition for the book for West End Game's SW RPG?

The main difference between the editions reflects the version of the game the book was written for, because there was an update/overhaul for the rules between first and second edition (second edition is much more fleshed out and flexible). Think of it being analogue to the situation with WH40K editions and codexes, or D&D.

I have the second edition of the DSTC, personally (I've never seen the first edition). Got a link to the site?

Right now, I'd say go with the second edition version.
