RPG Cities

Lightning strikes your nintendo/playstation/PC during a 475 hour marathon of (insert your Favorite RPG). Suddenly you're stuck in the game and have to decide where your new residence will be...

Where would you live?

I'd take pre-war Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X, either there or Alexandria in FF9.

This is tough.

I'd have to choose between:

Vivec City from Morrowind (hey its totally cool).
Tarant from Arcanum.

Or if the option is available...

My Communist "Utopia" Island from Tropico...

Heheheh I don't know about Tarant but Vivec would be awesome- especially if I've been proclaimed Hortator and Nereverine, if you know what I mean :)

Would GTA's Vice City count? I wouldn't mind living there.

Probably Zeal from Chrono Trigger, or Shevat or Solaris from Xenogears (yes, I like flying cities).

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Hmm 12th level Paladin of Sune in Sigil, then I'm off to find the realm of Sune, okay now and again I'm fubared when I get a job from Sune, but the rest of the time I get to sit back and PARTY, with the Sunite petitioner's I win.

(Sune is the goddess of Beuty in Faerun, since Sigil is the Planescape setting main city, and leads to all the planes, and all the D+D gods have a realm there somewhere, a Paladin of Sune in sigil will go off and find the realm of sune. I choose Paladin cos, a Cleric is fubared more than a combat character in Planescape... distance from God's plane limits spells... a Combat class can always fight....but a Paladin is still a member of the church. Petioner's are dead follower's of a God, born a gain in their realm with a similar personality but no memory's they exist to prove themselve's as worthy of promotion, if they prove it they merge with the plane in question or get promoted to Celestral being status... (Or Demon/Devil etc status depending on Plane alignment)
From a review of the two Towers.... 'As for Gimli being comic relief, what if your comic relief had a huge axe and fells dozens of Orcs? That's a pretty cool comic relief. '

Sigil, city of Doors. Anywhere you want to go, is just down the street...

Failing that, Enclave Karsus. Just get me out of town before he casts Avatar.

Candlehold most likely. I'd like living in the Forgotten Realms version of the Great Library. Either that or New California.

Well if i get to be the character that I was playing, 475 hours of leveling up would give me quite an advantage. If I was sent there myself, I would probably die of some disease due to the unsanitary (medival) conditions of the worlds (not having any currency that is worth anything does not help this matter)

475 hours of leveling?

Hell I'd take pretty much any FF world and dethrone the current baddie...and rule it like a God.

My preference would probably be FF8(or more specifically Esthar...high tech and I'm a minor god...dance my slaves...DANCE!!!)

Hmmm. Do muds count?

Cause if so I would take the city of Ankh-Morpork in the Discworld Mud.

Probably pre-war Zanarkand from FFX... seems like the coolest city to live in from an RPG.. (Blitzball!)

My level 13(now) mage from Neverwinter nights would after finding and destroying the cultists, go on to Waterdeep and study under Kelben(blackstaff) Arunsen. He would become an Uber wizard and found a nice happy little magocracy in what used to be Thay

Hmm... well, I haven't finished exploring the city yet with my crew, but I would probably pick being my L52 Dwarf Cleric and live in New Taanan in the Plane of Knowledge (in Everquest)

Of course I'm not positive that inhabitants of that city are allowed to leave and visit other places, so I may chose Shadowhaven on Luclin, or just good ole Kaladim as my home city. As long as I don't have to pick those stinky, corrupted human cities of Freeport or Qeynos or Highpass, and especially as long as I don't have to listen to that music in Rivervale.

And of course if I ever want to go on a skiing vacation, I can either go to Everfrost or visit my old old cousins the Coldain on the Velious continent. (Mountains are better for skiing on in the Great Divide anyways, and those Giants make excellent slalom gates)
