I don't see where you guys are getting these super-powerful clone troopers from anyway. A Protoss Zealot can already take 133 rounds from a fairly poweful gun (hypersonic automatic rifle) before dying, so I doubt they're going to get killed in 2 blaster shots, when blasters haven't been shown to be significantly more powerful than a normal rifle.

Do they actually do this in the movie? I can't remember. Even then, they would still take quite a few shots to kill a zealot, especially since they move so fast, which combined with the moderately low accuracy of the blasters, would make them hard to hit. Also, they should be able to at least match the SW troopers numbers 1:1.

ICS. They have a sniper scope too. And the only reason to have a sniepr scope is if the bolts are stabilized for that distance. And the rifle possesses lots of "galvening" coils to enhance coherencey of the bolt over long distances.

Clearly you have never seen ANH in which this happens about fifteen times. Your referance to the moive suggest Ep2 is the only ones you've seen.

Then again we have only observed them used over short range (100m or so)

But considering that the weapons used were submachine gun equivalents, and that we have never seen a rifle class weapon being fired, and that storm troopers were able to hit their mark with snapshots, this should speak volumes about both stormie accuracy and the accuracy of their weapons.

Gather the ending clone and droid armies from the end of AOTC, and put them against an army of Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss.

No oribtal fire support. Give both one hour time to prepare any necesary ground defenses.

No jedi BTW. Just clones and droids from AOTC.

No Jedi? That's pretty unfair because the SW side now lacks
a serious counter to Protoss Psi Users. Dark Archons are the
main problem here. SC has lots of "dirty" tricks - jedis are
needed to counter them. CT are waek willed and trained to
follow orders. You don't want to send that kind of troops
against a highly psi capable foe. The protoss will take over
the CT forced pretty quick when there is no jedi presented
at the battlefield.

I disagree witht he weak-willed thing. The fact that they are trained to follow orders, and thatw e never see them run away or break even amidst the hell on Geonosis indicates that they must have pretty hefty mental fortitude.

The major problem with Protoss Psi is Psi-Storm and the Hallucinations. Both of these will respectively hurt the clonetroopers badly and dissipate their firepower.

I didn't say they would decohere, I said they wouldn't be remotely accurate, which they wouldn't be due to the bolt moving too slowly to cover a 10km distance quickly.

In the one Cinematic where the Terran base is flattened by an Arbiter recalling in some Dragoons the Sergeant is pretty much blasted to bits in one shot.
Also one shot from a dragoon totally destroys the tower in which the Terran Sentry is.

I heard somewhere that with the Psi-Powers Protos are actually more powerful than Jedi. Add the Terran Siege Tanks, and all 3-races air power this is a short battle.
