On a happy note, Richard Gere offered to provide the now-homeless guinea pigs with shelter.ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) - Hundreds of guinea pigs did so much damage to a house in this Detroit suburb that authorities called in a demolition crew and razed it to the ground.

(Apologies in advance to those who don't appreciate Gere being the butt of these jokes. I promise I won't make any more such cracks in the future.)

You know, I have a guinea pig and the little fucker poops constantly when I let it out to run around on the floor. I have to use my shop-vac attachment to reach under the bed to suck up all of those little turds almost every night. I was originally going to get another one, but I didn't because I don't want to have to clean up that much guinea pig poop.
I can only imagine 440 of them pooping and making that loud sqeaking noise as they run around on the floor.

We once had a couple guinea pigs running loose in our house for almost a week before our dog tracked them down for us. Strangely enough there wasn't a poop trail to follow. It was a bit nerve wracking at the time since our whole family was afraid of squishing them by accident and we really had to watch where we were going.
Honestly now, 440 guinea pigs running loose in a house? How? That is so wrong on so many levels!

My uncle's dog has killed, to date, 15 guinea pigs, among other small rodents.

Wow, this guy was seriously messed up in the head. Reminds of me of crazy lady in the news out here. She had like a hundred cats in her house. The place was tore up. There were dead cats in the corners of the house. The other cats were canabilizing them. It was fucking horrible. Some of the cats were so feral they had to be killed.
Problem is since she was so old they let her go and she started collecting them again.

Strange. Really they don't bit much at all in my experiance.Superman wrote:I think that I must have a psychotic guinea pig. Is there a guinea pig asylum I can check her into?
Seriously, my guinea pig will nip me when I pick her up to put her back in her cage. She does not do this all the time, usually she is mad and wants to stay out. Is this normal?
Guinea pigs don't like being put back in there cages as a rule, but most just struggle and mabey get you with there claws in the process. I've had two guinea pig's a pets. One bit me twice when it was young, the second which I currently have has neve bit me. I've also taken care of several others which belonged to my best friend. None of them ever bit me or him.
My current one enjoys ramming its self into my cats belly until she gets off the floor and goes up onto a sofa or chair where he can't reach her.
