Since the testing thread got locked:

Who's up for one, and when?

I'm good from 4PM EST to midnight.

Is it possible to do a network "Warlords" plugin game? Cause I would totally love to test my Dreadnaught Rush tactict against someone besides the computer.

Give me a day or so to dick about with my notebook and get the game and mod running, and maybe we can put that to the test.
This has been another blunder by you friendly local idiot.

I have warlords, and can play. However, Warlords makes my computer cry, so I don't know how stable my playing is going to be.

If, through some miracle, I can get it working online, I'd consider it. However, due to my typical play methods, ideas such as 'resourcing' 'strategy' and 'research' have faded away. I'll need a few warm ups.
According to wikipedia, "the Mohorovičić discontinuity is the boundary between the Earth's crust and the mantle."
According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

Hey Vanas, I'll trade you. My 'strategy' consists of only 'research' and 'resourcing'

Teams?

After having done a bit of poking, the notebook's a no-go, but I think I can get away with hooking the wireless up to the desktop for a few hours without causing the network to crash and burn. You don't mind dealing with fresh meat on wireless, do you?

[Palpatine]Rise...[/Palpatine]

Not to be a necroing dick or anything, but I'd remembered that there was some interest in starting up some matches and the like, and I figured better to use this one than start a whole new thread.

By the way, Crossroads, I'm still ready and available, so give me a time if you still wanna' throw down.

I just reinstalled this recently, I'd be willing to maybe give it a shot over the next few days.

Which version of Warlords, and can we use the no-cd executable? I shudder at the idea of using my disk, like some unwashed barbarian.

CR says he's stuck at .45, and I doubt it'd matter how we launch the bloody thing. I'm just hoping my copy doesn't decide to commit suicide.

EDIT: Er, I should also add that said version's the one I'm running as well, as I haven't bothered with any of this micro-update business I read about.

Uh, what about stock HW2? Warlords runs like ass, after all.

Your doubts are incorrect, homeworld 2 requires both sides to be using the same executable, its how they prevent people from using different versions of the game. Everyone has to be using the CD or no-CD version of the Exe, the two cannot mix.

The micro-releases look and run much better, though they lack research and resourcing, which I suppose would be important for a real game.

Never heard of Complex, but PDS could work. Of course stock isn't a terrible choice too.

Lets do stock, PDS requires the host to have a kick ass rig and not everyone has that.

Complex isn't too bad CPU-wise and I like its gameplay style - but stock can work. Unfortunately, I dont' have internet access at home for the time being.
