Terminator, Original Timeline?

Post by WTR »

Has anyone come up with any theories or ideas on the original timeline? Reese does say Sarah is a big hero for training up her son and all that.
Of course, there’s the photo Reese that was the same photo the little Mexican boy took, but that could be merely a coincidence (timeline coordinating similar scenarios to fit with the changed timeline?)
From Sarah’s determination to train her son to be quite the survivalist, I’d have to assume that the original Daddy-Connor was a bastard that beat Sarah.
So after taking no more crap, she leaves him...fights back, skips to Mexico (gets the photo taken) and winds up with some survivalists and learns necessary skills. Maybe John joins the army, at least that would explain knowing how to use the plasma rifles (in the original timeline the Human’s bullpup plasma rifles were fielded...or at least field-tested).
And the rest, is history.

Thats my theory at least.

If I remember right the New John Conner Chronicles covers it and is as close to a canon explaination as there is for the Terminator verse

If I remember right it was a continuous loop, something happened that pushed it off with T2

That makes sense. The first movie was very self-contained and left no loose ends. John Conner is concieved, grows up learning to kick ass, Skynets wins, John Conner kicks Skynet's ass, sends father back in time to concieve him.

The sequels started screwing things up- especially the third movie, which just jumped up and down on the other two.

Oh, great...so the Terminator franchise is Donnie Darko with fewer bizarre rabbit costumes and the addition of murderous robots?

...actually, murderous robots in rabbit costumes would probably make for a pretty good movie.

If I remember right it was the T-799 "Eve" being reprogrammed that altered things

Don't forget the unreleased ending of T2 where everything turns out hunky dory in the end and the world is saved.
