Perfect Dark's Single Player...

Post by Big Orange »

...what was supposedly wrong with it? Well I agree that Perfect Dark's storyline was fairly trite, but viewed objectively the single player was otherwise pretty solid and not much worse than GoldenEye's much vaunted single player. The gameplay was up to scratch, the AI was excellent and the level design was mostly good (Pellagic II was the only SP level that I would call mediocre).

But on the other hand, I don't think there's much ire for Perfect Dark among most gamers and when it came out the game received rave reviews (single player included). Of course the hard to impress Stark disliked Perfect Dark (it's single player at least) but he could only express his disapproval by throwing obscenities and saying "dataDyne Defection" was suppsedly the hardest mission. Who else thinks Perfect Dark's single player is not that bad?

Didn't we already do this in your other, previous thread about Perfect Dark versus GoldenEye 007?

Yes, we did. And despite Stark virtually writing it in big bold letters, it seems Big Orange still can't get it through his thick skull that just because Stark didn't think the game is the Second Coming doesn't mean he dislikes it.
