Fan fic idea...

Once I've finished off The Great Troll War (which I recently resumed writing) I plan to write a ST vs SW fanfic.



The plot is this. Thrawn didn't die. The Empire controls the galaxy. A Federation and a Klingon ship stumble through a wormhole. Naturally, the klingons fire on the first ship they find, which happens to be an ISD. The Klingons die and the Federation ship is captured. After learning limited information, they begin an invasion. Forces, including a World Devestator, are moved into the ST universe. But before the big main fleet can arrive, the wormhole closes. The SW ships estimate it will take years for it to reopen. In the mean time, they must conquer! Violence, carnage and maybe, lightsabers. No love scenes.

Actually, I'd like to see more SW vs. something other than ST. O fcourse, haging out at this forum, what do I expect.

A suggestion:
Take out the WD and replace it with something less extreme. To be serious, the World Devastator will allow the Imperial stranded to make the campaign a walkover. But a handful of lightships, short on supplies (and forced to deal with natives to survive) is a better story.

A Scout squadron with maybe a dozen frigates, cruisers and gunships would make it interesting. Mabey a TIE carrier as well. having any heavy capital units makes it a Trek Blood bath.

AFAIK WDs take quite a while at the beginning to produce weapons.

I'd recommend a mix of light ships: Carraks, Lancers, and Strike Cruisers, which were escorting the WD through the wormhole. That would be good to see.

You still have to presume absolute low-end SW figures, maybe lower, or they wil kill every thing.
You know what would be funny? If they petition for asylum from the Federation, receive a section of space from those morons, and have the WD build Star Destroyers quietly and send them out on missions of destruction elsewhere while keeping the Federation as a buffer. Since the SDs would look signifigantly different than the original ships, people might not connect the two at all.

Problem is, can you really see thewm sending in the WD with out a SD or two in the escort.

I agree with you, the SW vs. ST is getting kinda old, except for in Stravo's fanfic...but that's an exception. Try something that is actually close to SW standards, that would make for actually interesting fight scenes that don't involve "Ok, just blow them up....yeah, blow them up too"
I don't have any suggestions for what this might be but...I'm sure you can find one that isn't to unknown.

by elephant of course, didn't you know that? THe only problem is, where to put the litter, because if you dump it just there in te middle of space, you will get a ticket by the police in nanoseconds. and they issue a huge fine.
