Recently I gave the eve online trail a go, and decided that I do want to get myself an actual account for it. But as I dont have a credit card I look at the other payment options and they involve a service run by http://paybycash.com/
So I'm woundering if anyone here has had any experience with them, and if they are trustable or not ?
Because my options are eaither to use a credit card, or to use paybycash. The company who owns eve online won't accecpt any other payment methods. Link
Though paybycash will take the money through paypal. But that would mean also setting up a paypal account and I don't really want yet another middleman where things can break down.
If you really want to play the game, I'd recommend credit card. At least with the credit card if you get scammed you can get your credit repaired by your bank/cc company. No such guarantees with their paybycash service.

Why should you bother paying more money than you need to? Just use a credit card, it's not like EVE Online is going to rip you off.

Hrmm, misread his post. Thought he said he had a cc. Though if he has a simple bank debit card with a visa/mastercard/etc logo, he should be able to use that just as well in place of a regular credit card.

Since noone here has used their service before and I can't seem to find any testimonials from people who have used it, I'm not too sure I can trust them.
They list the postal address on their contact page as:
Internet Payment Solutions, Inc.

So if they decide to try and screw with me, what kind of legal protection would I have ?
Currently I'm thinking that a credit card looks the safer option, even if it does look a bit more expensive.
I have a master card debit card i use for all my online transactions (cause yeah, im paranoid and i dont like writing my credit card number everywhere).
Except for lacking the ability to help me spend money i don't have (and hence, i don't want to spend) it works just like a credit card or at least i've never had any service denied because of it, as long as i have funds, and that includes mmorpg subscriptions.
You should be able to get one from a local bank in your area, whether they offer a MC or a Visa should make almost no difference online, and all you need to do is fill out a form and maybe make a small deposit to open the account, sometimes they give you the card right there and then, you don't need to work or have a background check done since you wont be asking for money, I dont think they even care about your age and the process takes less than an hour. Just make sure you're not applying for a Visa Electron or similar accounts, you can't use those as you would use credit cards.
I dont think any New Zealand banks offer debit cards, so unless someone can point me to one that does (I've only actually checked the bank I'm with) it isn't even an option for me.

Any card that lets you withdraw from an ATM should work as a debit card by some standard.
My ATM card does not have an expiery date on it, nor a "Card Verification Number", both of which are required pieces of infomation if I wish to use the card to pay for eve online.
I'm with ASB bank, so could you please check my banks website before assuming it offers certian options. I have and I can't find any options other than getting a credit card or using the paybycash service.
Phone your bank and ask, I couldn't get my debit card until I actually asked.

They might also be referred to as "ATM Cards"
We have the cards, they just don't work as credit cards. Our EFTPOS system has actually been around longer then most of the others, possibly including the US one (I get conflicting reports about that though.) I know we've had pin numbers years before the UK decided to bring them.

Standard ATM cards in Australia are the same, however you can get ones that function as both ATM & credit/debit cards, depending on the bank.
