Flashman and Sharpe's crossover fanfic

I realise this isn't scifi, but both series are DAMMN good, so I was wondering who would be interested in me doing it, and any ideas for settings, or things I should remember about the characters, before I begin.

For those unfarmiliar with the characters, I have included linkys:

Writing may either be in first person, a la Flashy, or in third person, like in Sharpe's

Possible titles so far include:

Sharpe's Flash

or:

Flashman and the REAL Hero

Good ol' Flashy's quite a bit younger than Sharpe. Sharpe would be fifty years older than Flashman.

the idea is that this happens sometime in the 1840's-50's when sharpe is still alive, possibly called back to the colours...

A man who sounded very much like Sharpe's son was involved in the American Civil War in the Starbuck books (IIRC he was a French observer). Perhaps you could use him instead with just a small role for Sharpe himself? I can't imagine Sharpe being up for much in Flashy's time.

excellent point. maybe I will use him. For the record, his name is Patrick Lassan, and he is Sharpe's son with Lucille Castineu (ne Lassan.) the story will be set before 1860, as that is around when Sharpe dies.
