Should I just forget the idea for a fanfiction on this

Yes, it's kinda dumb.

Eldar Craftword Taken elsewhere

Post by Skelron »

Okay this is based on a fanfiction I'm writing, whether or not anyone ever sees it depends on a few things, (Such as if I think it's any good for a start, if it works is another thing but anyway heres the debate.)
A single Generic Craftworld, (that is non of the named ones with unusual conditions, but one of the less famous ones, probs with a few of it's own traditions, (Mostly to bring it in line with my own interpretation so if it differs from the strict GW party line thats why) for one reason or another ends up entering a temporal rift type thingy. (Actually in the fiction it's not anything so Trek like, and they have a damned good reason, but hay it's not important here.)

They exit it near a space station, known to us as B5. It's before the Shadow War really kicks off, the White Star has been created but not the fleet itself, and everyone is still moving pieces in secret. The Web does not extend here, at least not too well. But everything else functions as normal, and of course Hyperspace is safe for the Eldar to traverse. Added to that is the fact that I see the Eldar having not too much trouble back enginerring the technolgy. Anyway what do people see as happening next, remember this isn't a versus more a culture clash. Although battle may happen, it isn't the purpose of the debate. (and no I'm trawling for ideas I have my own interpretations and ideas, but I do want to see what others think, For example Kosh meeting a Farseer....)
From a review of the two Towers.... 'As for Gimli being comic relief, what if your comic relief had a huge axe and fells dozens of Orcs? That's a pretty cool comic relief. '

OK. the Eldar are WAY ahead of B5 in terms of tech, hell, that single craftworld could probably conquer the B5 galaxy, but yes the idea is intriguing.

I like the idea. The Eldar would breathe a huge sigh of relief and thank Isha for delivering them from extinction. Think about it, suddenly , no Imperium, Orks, Tyranids and worst of all Chaos(esp Slannesh) to worry about......freedom and survival , in a galaxy where their tech is equaled only by the Vorlons and the Shadows. Or if they are gone, they are at the top of the pyramid.

Plus, if Sheridan thinks a Vorlon is enigmatic, just wait till he meets a Farseer. The Eldar and the Minbari in the same room would be interesting as well......oh good more aloof aliens....I can see the Warrior Cast and the Aspect Warriors getting along famously though :)

Could be interesting

OK for starters, even the Vorlons and Shadows are no match for Eldar tech, THE first ones might be, but its doubtful.

And Aspect Warriors would kill the Minbari warrior caste for being soft. I mean really...

The Eldar are High tech, but they aren't god like......I'd put them on an equal footing with the Vorlons and Shadows, the main place the Eldar have them beat is in the realm of psychic powers , a Farseer would eat a Shadow or Vorlon psyker for breakfast.

That would rock , I can just see Mordens reaction to the Death Jester and Solitair  Plus Besters horror upon meeting a Shadow Seer, a telepath more powerful than anything hes ever dealt with, would be priceless.......

Well , I can see Rangers training with other Eldar Rangers, but the Aspect Warriors would rather commit seppuku than let a non-Eldar enter one of the Aspect shrines , and most would find training non-Eldar impossible, due to the time and mental skills needed to train as they do
