Star Wars Robot Wars 2.0

Post by Isolder74 »

Now that I have figured how to do polls we'll run this again.

For all those not familier with BBC's Robot Wars the premise is we lock several robots into a arena and the last robot still running wins

Star Wars Entries
R2-D2 The verisital astromech droid
IG-88 Assasination Droid
Super Battle Droids Robot army units
Guri Sentient artificial being

Star Trek Entries
Data Senient artifitial being
Lore Data's brother
Borg Drone semi-organic robot

Other universe entries
VINCIENT Black Hole service robot
Maximillion Sinister robot from the Black Hole
T-800 the teminator(nuf said)

now give the one you would feel would win and also give your reasons why

Guri. She's super-quick, super-strong, super-tough and skilled at killing. I think she's likely to be slightly more agile than IG-88 and might be able to take him down if she's fast enough to dodge the blaster shots he sends her way - she can kill the others easy enough, I reckon.

IG-88......cold...and calculating.....nuff said
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

As the fight progresses IG-88 has already blasted Data And Lore while they were in the midst of a fist fight with each other. Suer Battle Droid and Guri are exchanging fire from behind some crates. Maximillion has blasted VINCIENT for beating him in the move and is now hovering menacingly towards the T-800. This Battle is really starting to get ugly.

Before Maxillion can get there T-800 is blow apart by precision fire by IG-88 who then graps Max and hurtles him towards the Driod Guri fight and IG-88 uses his superior mobility to back up around twenty feet and begins calcuation how quickly to destroy the winner of the new three way fight in the most Effcient way possible

The now just skeleton T-800 gets back up and tries to blast IG-88 but is imedietly vaporized by him. Guri Blasst Maximillion and gets back to shooting the Super Battle Droid while R2-D2 has ran into a corner and is whistiling Sadly

Guri. Sentient artificial being with attractive female body, fast, skilled in hand-to-hand and with blasters, smart, and almost took out Luke Skywalker (Granted, it was Luke in SOTE, which violates the ROTJ novel, but still).

Never heard of the Black Hole guys.

Borg Drone dies first. Unarmed, and a 1 shot kill.

Then R2. Unarmed. Slow. Big target

Then Lore. Unarmed, not fast enough.

Then Data. His phaser isn't a match against the other's firepower.

Then Guri. Very fast, but wouldn't be carrying anything more then a holdout blaster.

Then the Super BD. A single hit from IG-88's rifle will kill it.

Then the Terminator (unless it's Ahnuld.)

I'd say IG-88, He's one of the liest bounty hunters in the SW galaxy! Unless, Data uses technobabble to overload circuits to blow the other robots up.

*shrug*
I would give the SBD's a fair chance here with their repeating blaster rifles and good armor, I don't think IG-88's rifle could take one of them down with a single shot, they stood up to many shots in AOTC, only exception where the rifles of the Clone Troopers.

I was torn between Guri and IG-88, but then I remembered something.... Guri was designed to replicate a human's physiology as much as possible, while IG-88 weighed at least a ton (probably a couple tons... I'm too fucking drunk right now to remember). That implies to me that a good chunk of Guri's potential capabilities were sacrificed in favor of making her seem "more human". From that, I deduce that IG-88 has the upper hand.

Guri's only chance is if she can feign her way out of the fight at the beginning (pretend to get knocked down or something), and then claim victory at the end.
