Thanks to the joys of MP3's, a really cool version of "Julia" by Our Lady Peace that was re-written by Sarah Slean.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

The Posies - Frosting on the Beater

Dream All Day
I've got a lot of thoughts
I've got a lot of plans
I've lost a lot of sleep
Trying to understand

I could dream all day...

In a blackened room
Staring into space
Underneath a thousand blankets
Just to find a place

Where everything is reachable
Imagining is safe
I tried to make it so
I didn't even know

I could dream all day...

I dreamt I was awake
My mouth was colored grey
As the world revolved around me
I could only say

I could dream all day...

You know what? That was the very first music I bought on my own. I loved that "Come Sail Away" song, and bought the record.

My parents were like "sure, you can buy a record with your allowance." haha I remember them being suprised it ended up being a rock and roll band, instead of hokey-pokey or something. I remember I didn't like some of the songs then because they were 'angry' and 'noisy'. haha how things change...

Oh yeah! I used to love that "Fifth of Beethoven" disco song. It's still kind of cool, but now in that guilty pleasure kind of way.

U2 lineup tonight-- "She moves in Mysterious Ways" & "Sweetest Thing". I love U2...
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

The Clash - London Calling

Arguably one of the best rock records ever made.

Listening to "Thin Line" by the Indigo Girls, my washing machine/dryer (yes I do my laundry at weird times), and the sound of my comfy bed calling out to me....mmmmm....... Two out of three lovely sounds. :D 'Night, all.

Heart attack.

from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/2600669.stm
The BBC wrote:Joe Strummer, the leader of legendary Seventies punk band The Clash, has died of a suspected heart attack aged 50.

A spokesman for Strummer, real name John Graham Mellor, said the singer died at home in Broomfield, Somerset, on Sunday.

A post mortem examination is to be performed to confirm the cause of death.

Strummer formed The Clash in the mid Seventies. Along with the Sex Pistols, they were the figureheads of the punk scene that put London on the map as the centre of the musical world.

U2 frontman Bono paid tribute to Strummer on Monday saying: "The Clash was the greatest rock band. They wrote the rule book for U2. It's such a shock."

Bob Geldof - a musical contemporary as frontman for the Boomtown Rats - said he admired their refusal to sell out.

"I know for a fact they were offered huge amounts of money," he told the BBC's One O'Clock News.

"They just said no, that isn't really what we stood for. That's truly admirable. They were very important musically but as a person, he was a very nice man."

Left-wing singer Billy Bragg said: "Within The Clash, Joe was the political engine of the band, and without Joe there's no political Clash and without The Clash the whole political edge of punk would have been severely dulled."

The Clash arguably gave punk a classic pop sensibility and their vital spirit in turn influenced later bands....
The banner in my sig is clickable, it leads to tributes and news links at BBC news.

I've heard of them, but I haven't heard anything by them. Are they any good, or is the teenage lesbien aspect the only thing that worth while?

Def Leppard - Rock Rock (Till You Drop)
Gowan - Human Drama
Bob Dylan - Mr. Tambourine Man
EMF - Unbelievable
Loreena McKennitt - The Mummey's Dance
