They're a little "off" since they're using (probably amateur) live actors, which by and large lack the, well, not-so-human-anymore look to them for obvious reasons.

I've always been confused- i hear people talking about some of the fmv stuff from final liberation, but i played through the whole game and i only saw about 5 seconds of cutscene at the intro, no live actors anywhere. Is there anywhere i can see all the cutscenes?
did you play to final liberation under XP?
'cause the game won't run unless you shut down the FMV
otherwise, they are a few bunch of FMV through the campaign.
A fine movie, I must say. Quite well done really. Some of the actors actually fit the part quite well (the Commissar standing with the Space Marine; an Inquisitor, I believe in a montage looking guant) and i was rather impressed by the Space Marines (more in how well the people were meshed with the armour).

The armour meshes so well because its real physical suits that were made for the videos. Theres pictues of it on the net.
And i was playing FL when it came out on a win 98 machine, but still all i got was one really dark short one at the intro, with some orks torturing a human or something for about 20 seconds
Really nice fan movie. Whatever happened to that German 40k fanfilm?

The music is from Chaos Gate, a pretty fun little Space Marine turn-based tactical shooter (think X-COM) based on the Soldiers at War engine. Quite fun. Chaos Gate had great music.
They even dug up the old test footage for the (I assume now cancelled) Bloodquest TV movie

Specifically the track is the Ultramarines Chant.
And I liked seeing the Firewarrior cutscenes in there.

Lovely! I take it those are cyclonic torpedoes in action?

There's a bunch of stuff from Final Liberation as well.

Purely energy weapons, I recall - the opening blast we see is a lance weapon. The follow ups might be bombardment cannons though (which are kinetic kill).
EDIT: Actually, thinking about it, the follows ups could be cyclonic weapons. I don't know wether it's expanded upon in the Firewarrior novel, but the presence of 'exhaust' and the apparently seismic effects sort of meshes with one of the few descriptions of effects I've read on cyclonic warheads - Ultramarines used such munitions to break apart the homeworld of the Word Bearers.
Well.. Shit!!
That was quite brilliantly done. I like it.

The last order from the Marine commander in the novel is to launch cyclonic torpedoes, then it switches to Kais in a Tau mental institute. Ther is no description of the torpedo blast
