I'm not so sure that their practises when it comes to games from Japan trying to be played on foreign consoles (or vice-versa) however.
Many X360 games are not region locked, as with the Wii, it's left to the publisher to decide. This means that the developers and publishers only have to code and press one version.

Additional remotes and nunchucks are sold at those prices.

Check out IGN's Zelda and Metroid vids. They point HD cameras directly at the screen and get direct-feed audio.

Be warned, however, that they really, truely, SUCK. I tell ya, it took me twenty seconds to start pulling off headshots in Zelda, and when they pull out the bow and arrow it has to tell them to point at the screen and they start looking around in completely the wrong direction like a malfunctioning optical mouse.

The Metroid video is spectacular, but it's amazing how long it takes them to figure out the simplest puzzles. I don't think they even READ the messages on the screen. It says to put the energy capsule in the power generator and they turn around and walk in completely the wrong direction like idiots shooting things trying to figure out where to go.

And despite spending 8-10 hours in the Wii booth, I never saw anyone actually die in Super Mario Galaxy until I watched IGN's videos.

But regardless, they have the best quality videos around.

Will the flicker and slowdown that was so prevalent on the early generation systems be eliminated when the old games are emulated on the Wii?

Yeah, they had a guy playing BWii in germany, and his run was punctuated by two different things:

#1: Getting shot down within ten seconds of taking crontrol of any helicopter. It seemed the first thing he always did would be to try to take on an AA unit.

#2: Spending 80% of a fight against enemy soldiers shooting at his own tank... with a rifleman.

I've noticed that tends to be a trend in game demo videos in general.. most of the time whoever they get to play the game in a video meant to impress the potential customer plays it about as well as a chimp with a blindfold on.

The Wii-interface thing Praxis linked to is like that. It's some American goon demonstrating Mii channel in the worst, clumsiest, without-a-clue manner possible. I've NEVER USED MII CHANNEL, but I could have given a better presentation without ever having seen it. They guy had no public speaking ability and could hardly use the software.
