I can say that I'm definitely getting Dark Crusade, certainly for the single player, but also because now the Guard might stand a chance of holding out for third and fourth tier without having to simply throw squads into the meatgrinder.
Goddamn those heavy weapons teams rock! They're killing 'em all! Hopefully I can truly unleash waves upon waves of IG.
And I hope they make the Karskins more badass. Come on! Give 'em hellguns and meltas too!

So what Race are y'all gonna play the campaign through first?
<----IG, of course. Then SM. After that I might get around to playing as the filthy Xenos.

If you want a really serious defensive force, Guard are about the only choice. Most of the other forces are highly mobile shock troops with limited numbers. (the notable exception being the Orks, but no propa ork is gonna sit an' wait for dem to come 'ere wen we could be goin over dere)
The latest Epic rules even have a full Imperial Guard seige company.
Thank you God. I'm in need of a new game to play soon and with the awesome campaign level and 7 races to pick from (most of which I'll enjoy. Except the Orks and Eldar, I enjoyed the Tau in the demo, have to wait and see on the Necron). That will keep my boredom away for some time.

Space Vampires for the win.

Article's nothing special, gives small profiles of the Tau and Necrons. But the accompanying shots show tricked-out Necron Lord and Tau Commander, and two shots involving Tau and Necrons. The Necron one in particular has some interesting Necron ruins.
And a Relic employee hinted that there will be more videos involving the new races over the coming weeks until the release date.

I thought those beauts were just rapid-fire lasguns. Or are hellguns rapid-lases?
Well, I wish the Karskins have a more varied weapons loadout. Seems like the Guard are lacking on the kickass infantry front.

Yes, they are. The Guard is about armor; compared to the various aliens, superbeings, demons, etc. in WH40K, the normal men of the Imperial Guard are pissants.
A Hellgun is basically an overpowered lasgun. In 2nd ed 40K (and in Necromunda), it's called a 'hot-shot lasgun', and is nothing more than a bigger powerpack attached to a standard lasgun.
"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"
Long ago, the planet Kronus was a peaceful world cohabited by both humans and the tau, a faction that believes in spreading the greater good throughout the universe. However, the return of the necrons resulted in many of the tau warriors on Kronus being wiped out and the human Imperium attempting to control the entire planet. As a result, the tau went to war, dispatching a task force from their home world, armed with the high-tech weapons and battle suits that the tau are known for.
The tau stronghold is located in the city of Or'es Tash'n, in the territory of the same name. From here, the tau military commander Sash'o Kais plans to liberate the planet by conquering all enemy stronghold territories. If Or'es Tash'n should fall, however, the tau would be forced to flee the planet. The thought of defeat would be utterly shameful to the tau, who refuse to accept failure.
Wait, Kais? The Kais?

Would be cool if it was, and he was facing a gaggle of "equal" leaders.

Then why does it take me so long to get my tanks? And why are they planning to emasculate us with this two Leman Russ limit cap bullshit?

IG are getting heavy weapon teams, which should give them a greatly needed infantry firepower boost.
EDIT: I'm hoping they don't put a two cap limit to every single heavy tank unit in DC. This would put a dampener on some race's ability to field vehicular anti-vehicle units, since say, for Necrons, heavy destroyers are the only vehicle-based anti-vehicle they can field, while IG get 2 leman russes plus however many sentinels, and now HWTs to give more infantry-based AV.
