Personally, I wish armor would be something you'd be given each time you spawn, like the pistol and knife.
Exactly... it's pretty much that universal as it is, you might as well just give it as standard and drop the income by a bit.

The main problem is armor is far more important than which gun you're using. A lesser rifle is almost as good as that M4/AK, but going without armor is pretty much suicide. So what I'm worried about is that if armor gets to be too expensive, it'll really unbalance things. Once your team falls behind in a round, you won't be able to afford your armor, and it'll be even harder to win future rounds and pull out of your mess.
Remember, you're not the only ones this effects. A lot of people seem to forget that. It will effect all teams, likely making armor less prevalent all around.

A question from a non-player...

Post by Edward Yee »

Does armor affect the player's movement speed any?

As a non-playing layman, I'm seeing that the prices of most weapons have a projected difference under 5%, while the ones that are "most liked" (read: possibly overused) are blatantly obvious -- so other than armor, one can get okay pricing by trying new weapons and hoping that (other) "n00bs" don't drag down one further by deciding to continually buy the weapons you like.

Hence I'm not seeing any problem, unlike what the guys from the forum said. :P

CS can be fun if you know what your doing. When playing CS with Chris, we often stuck together and walked. By walking we could hear the enemy. We could work together and support each other and kill the enemy.

But the bitching and whinning was still terrible and we often grew bored of the game.
