Let it be known to the great and Glorious nations surrounding the August Incorporated State of Crossroadia, that as of the Fiscal new year, long range surveys will be conducted utilizing Crossroadia's new Dirigible Air Corps for the purposes of monitoring it's borders and reporting upon illegal activities.

For purposes of good will upon ships at sea, these airships shall hither forth go unarmed to alley any fears of militarizing the open skies. Let it be known that if any Aero ship of the August Incorporated State of Crossroadia is fired upon or put to harm, the Corporate Navy shall react with all due force.

As loathe as I am to accept a deal in secret, for it was this anonymous tangled system of alliances that caused, in part, the Great War, I see the wisdom in your Queen’s position. Though I might prefer a deal more open to the international community, Her Majesties amendment to our agreement is accepted.

The disposition of my nation is against any force that could be used beyond our legal borders (though that may change, I fear, if the political winds continue to blow as they are now), and the consequence is, as you point out, an inability to protect our commerce. This said we shall, at this time, agree to an exchange of Iron Ore for raw Cotton on bulk to feed our deeply needed Textile Mills.

On the subject of the latter part of our trade, since both Opium and Spices are categorized as Luxuries, an arrangement of $1,000 in Opium for $1,000 in Spices is proposed.

The People's Republic is most interested in securing a source of sulfur, for our own stocks are not sufficient to meet our needs. We have available coal, spices such as saffron, and opium.

If your new Queen is interested in something besides for resources, we would be willing to offer you coaling rights at our ports. If any of these deals are acceptable to you, or if you have some other benefit in mind, please let us know.
