I think I just contracted iron(y) poisoning. Wow.

Also, to note, Lowtax at least had no illusions of being able to beat Boll.

To be fair (and correct me if I am wrong), I am pretty civil in almost all of my posts. If that's not the case, and I'm really being a jerk, let me know, but some of the people I see post (not necessarily this board, just internet message boards in general) need a good beating. Or two.

Okay. But Uwe Boll's movies are shit. So if there are some people out there who are basically iterating the truth... they deserve to get beaten? By a lying punk no less?

It's that statement alone that does it.

"Internet tough guy" doesn't mean "anyone who acts like a jerk", it means anyone who boldly proclaims they would beat this or that guy up or that so-and-so needs a fist in the teeth or so forth; i.e. anyone who pretends they'd be a bad dude and get violent on someone when in real life they would shrink away from such a confrontation.

(while I imagine that's what you meant by "talk shit", there are those who think of "talking shit" as any form of badmouthing someone)

Besides which, based on the way Boll rigged the event, I would suggest that he is just as much an "internet tough guy" as any of the other buffoons you profess to hate so much; he's alright with beating up untrained people but not with a fair fight, it seems.

Honestly, between that and the fact that not everyone (or perhaps not even most of the people) that Boll invited was not really an "internet tough guy", your post really comes off as either really supporting Boll or as the post of an internet tough guy.

Despite what you may think, losing a fight does not necessarily instill humility in people; hell, sometimes it makes them even more ill-tempered.

(Besides, what if they get called on it and then they win the ensuing fight? Gods, what would that do to their temperament?)

True, however, if people knew they could get beaten for acting in an immature manner, I think they would behave with more civility. Yes, I know it sounds weird that you have to "beat" people to get them to act with civility, but it seems to me too many kids grow up nowadays without their parents punishing them for being stupid that SOMEONE needs to do it.

Then again, that goes off on another tangent of corporal punishment, which is kinda out of scope of this post.

On one hand, someone twaped Lowtax.

On the other hand, this only increased Boll's ego.

Personally Lowtax and Uwe just should've gone into the ring gladiator style with bats.

Oh, come on. Lowtax is amusing. Boll is a professional tax scammer.

Tycho is definitely bald, but he's short. I saw them at Ubercon a couple of years ago, and Gabe is like eleven feet tall. I think he's also wearing his hair short now as well, so it's possible Bear was right on both counts.

Addition: Then again, Gabe is skinny to the point of emaciation. I definitely wouldn't describe him as a teddy, so it's possible you were right, Dalton and he did have them confused.

I love Uwe now. Just for engaging in the supremely insane act of attempting to beat up the internet.
