Here are some pictures I took with my camera phone when I was in Tennesse.
The first is a close up shot of the license plate on the General Lee at the Star Cars museum in Gatlinburg, TN. The other two are some shots of the Great Smokies in Cade's Cove.
My wife and I decided we want to move there.

Isn't Tennessee one of those states that gets abominably humid in the summer?

But if you live in the Great Smokie Mountains area the higher up the cooler it is.
We went to Clingman's Dome and when we got to the parking lot we were about 3,500 or so above sea level and the temp was about 20-30 degrees cooler then down in the foothills. Of course with the much thinner air I was having a bit of a hard time so I did not do the 1/2 mile hike to the observation tower that was about another 300 feet or so higher.

I'm a cardiac patient with a surgically corrected congenital defect. I was just having trouble taking a deep breath. When I saw the steep hill that I would have had to do I turned around and waited in the car. I was fine if I wasn't moving too much. But the walk was starting to take the wind out of me.Frank Hipper wrote:Tennessee is indeed chock full of natural beauty.
However, if you're having breathing troubles at a mere 3500 feet above sea level, I recommend you see a doctor, ASAP, because that just ain't right.
