Post by The Grim Squeaker »

Here you are, Pictures from my last 2 weeks at the mekina/Negev Desert-
Including pics of the "devastated" West bank, the officer training school Bahad-1 (I checked, the pics are legal and not classified) [where we toured and prepared for our midnight navigation ], and the economically ruined welfare city of Yerucham.

The West bank (From our day in the settlers town of Sederot)

A picture of the West bank/Gaza from a distance
?

Which is it? West Bank or Gaza? Thay are not the same place, one is on the west & south coast (Gaza) & the other to the east & north of the Negev. If that shot is of both, please explain because I'm, confused.

I suspect Gaza and that it's just Death being Death. The west bank is far hillier.

Which part is beautiful?
The first 2 pics are Gaza, aka one of the poorest and densest places on Earth, and it's controlled by the Hamas.
The later pics are a school for officers, with the ropes being for training between meals.
The last ones are from Yerucham, a poor city with a large youth problem, unemployment issues (little work inside, and few people working) and large amounts of minorities, and where the majority of it's income is welfare or trust fund based (To the point where we were told about a student who bought a car with trust funds).

Also it shouldn't be hard for you to come here if you can speak English/Hebrew and have a skilled profession. (It's harder these days due to problems with large amounts of illegal foreign workers from Vietnam and the Philippines, and deportion issues stemming from that).
:P

That area is beautiful! Would anyone have a beer with me if I took the wife over for a week or so?

The landscape in general is beautiful. I like the deserts or the mountainous terrain that seem common in Israel. Here it is boring tropical forests if you leave city limits and head for countryside.

A page from my passport. :D

Since I am in a muslim country there is no chance of travelling to Israel till muslims and jews solve hostilities and muslim countries start recognising Israel. Israel is an awesome country. I wish I could visit someday. Sadly that seems impossible in the forseeable future.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Since they say Isreal is a country that does not recognise your passport is that not an indirect admission that Isreal is in fact a country? :P
Check out TREKWARS (not involving furries!)

EVIL BRIT CONSPIRACY: Son of York; bringing glorious summer to the winter of your discontent.

KNIGHTS ASTRUM CLADES: I am a holy knight! Or something rhyming with knight, anyway...

Never trust the Muslim nations not to be hypocrites. They refuse to recognise Israel then deal with it secretly.

Pretty much.
It's a bit odd that an indian passport doesn't allow Israel, Pakistan I can understand, but India :?: .

Thats the South (For desert) and north for wet mountains.
