He admits that he copied it from a website but he doesn't even give my name or URL.

God, that is fucking attrocious but in the end what can you do realistically other than make sure he is ridiculed on that site for being an uncreative ass. After all, it's not like it's really your story in the sense that it can't be protected under copyright laws and such.

I think the best course of action is to bring it to the site's attention, see if they have a policy about this, they removbe it or give it the proper credit and hopefully that will remedy this problem.

Why the fuck do people do shit like that? Is there no sense of shame?

There's an abuse report form at the bottom of the first chapter, but I've never seen ff.net take action based off of it. It's under the left dropdown menu under "Report possible abuse," then "Not the property of uploading writer." Maybe if several of us send in complaints, they'll actually take notice.

I've submitted a review (of chapter one) stating that it's plagiarised (but otherwise pretty good

), as well as a report of abuse. I might send the author a nasty message, too, though I'm hoping he'll get the message from the review(s).

Abuse report link for the story. Hit with 5-6 "not the property of uploading writer" from different people and the administrators will just delete the story in about a day or so.

You know, he could at least write his own story and then link to Darth Wong's story under the "favourite authors" section if he wants people to read Conquest.

I once had the details of a character in one of my stories ripped off (down to the name of the sword). I made a point of posting my story on that particular site and stating when it had been written so that people would know and than PMed the person in question to politely ask where they had come up with ideas that were uncannily exactly the same as mine. Didn't hear anything back. Didn't actaully see that person on that site again.

... motherfucker, I think I know that guy. I'm pretty sure that was the name that this useless fuckwit named williams used there. We'd catch him on FFN all the damn time during deployment, including printing out stories after it was put out to us not to print anything nonworkcenter related because we didn't get anymore paper for the rest of the quarter.

The guy probably almost killed himself once a week. And I don't mean suicide, I mean sheer fucking stupidity would make him do something darwin worthy.
