I object to labeling the fundamentalists' beliefs as a "warped version of Christianity." Theirs, like it or not, is the purest form. They take their holy books literally, and they do exactly as their holy books tell them. The only "warped" forms of Christianity are the ones that are tolerant of gays and other religions, in short, the ones that have incorporated secular values into their ethical codes.

So? If Ted Bundy said something nice, would you forgive all of that serial-killing stuff? Morality isn't a matter of addition and subtraction; the Bible's evils are not magically cancelled out if it also says something nice.
