Quicktime installation issues

Post by Ace Pace »

Okay, had to uninstall quicktime, manually(add-remove didn't do anything). However, now trying to reinstall quicktime, it still thinks quicktime is installed.

I've tried going through the registry deleting all instances of quicktime as an installed program that I've found(yes, stupid I know), but it still thinks otherwise.

Advice?

Run Crapcleaner perhaps? The Issues tab can scan for leftover registry entries.

Is it still listed in the add/remove porgrams? Also check for web plugins. I think I had a similar issue before.

Used a 3rd party program to find the registry entry for it in add-remove, deleted it, works now.

Thanks for the idea.
