It's funny when he unfairly labels Stardestroyer.Net posters as nerds when we could say the average Axis History Forum poster is a Neo-Nazi. Is that fair generalisation?

Actually, I'm amused by that bit. Since when did Verne cease being of "literary merit?" Maybe some of the big words Verne uses scared buddy boy.

I'm also amused that he knows how I dress and groom myself based upon one of my hobbies. I'm thinking he'd be shocked to meet me: multi-talented, well groomed, well dressed, well adjusted and well educated weight lifter that I am. Not to mention the other board members that more or less fit that description.

You think a 36" waistline is a good target to shoot for?
Throw out all Sci-Fi movies, books, and fanzines. You may keep two of the following items (but no more): literary books with a mild science fiction element (e.g. “Brave New World,” “1984,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and maybe some H.G. Wells, but NO Jules Verne or ERB!), allegorical Sci-Fi movies (e.g. “Metropolis,” “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” or “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” but NOT “Planet of the Apes” or the re-make of Body Snatchers).
It's so easy to be an intellectual when it's just a matter of shunning the right books or movies, isn't it? So much easier than spending years learning difficult material and passing exams.
Burn all of those infantile toys that clutter up the shelf over your bed, including all light-sabers, action figures, and even that Godzilla cigarette lighter!
Thanks. You just proved that you have no kids, and that you think maturity is attained just as easily as your fake version of intellectualism: by shunning the right things. Real maturity is considerably different than that, fool.
• Read books of literary merit. (Ask a librarian, or just confine yourself to the Modern Library editions).
• Watch serious movies. (Rule of thumb: the fewer shootings, car chases, and special effects a movie has, the greater its intellectual worth.)
• Read a newspaper and keep up on the events in the world that matter.
• Take up a hobby that requires more than just sitting on your ass eating chips (like kayaking, bird watching, or soft ball).
• Attend a symphony or operatic performance. (That will REALLY throw off the Sci-Fi Gestapo!)
That is exactly what I'm talking about. Like any true moron, you think that you can make yourself an intellectual by consuming the right entertainment products, rather than doing that nasty "years in university" thing. That's how you become a poser, not an intellectual. And that, not coincidentally, is precisely what you so obviously are.
I know you were bullied in middle school, but you’re an adult now. Get over it and quit bullying people on the internet!
It's not "bullying"; it's the truth. When I tell you that you're a moron because of your staggering inability to grasp the most basic requirements of academic research or a scientific thesis, that is merely a fact, albeit one which is obviously so damaging to your fragile self-esteem that you end up feeling "bullied" as a result.
Learn to engage in what is called “general conversation.” This consists of topics that virtually anyone can be expected to comment upon (like the weather, current events, favorite foods, etc.) instead of parochial, Sci-Fi minutiae. Remember, most people don’t know what a "tesseract" is, don’t have a favorite Dr. Who, and cannot recognize obscure scraps of dialog from “Attack Of The Clones.”
This from the guy who obsesses over the Nazis. Yeah, Nazi lore is a real chick magnet. The girls must swoon over you!

• Start dating women that are attractive instead of just available. [How to tell? Does she dress like you — then she’s a looser!]
• Keep in mind that an actual relationship with a person of the opposite sex is not just about keeping a lid on that pesky old sex urge, it’s about coming to know and appreciate them as a person and (perhaps) forming a family.
Yes, and I have a family, unlike you.
See — it can be done! A normal life can be yours with a little work and application! Good luck, I know you’ll need it. Once I was a Sci-Fi fan myself, but then puberty set in and I was all right. Some of you are not so lucky, but my prayers will be with you.
I'm a sci-fi fan, and I have a job, and I married a pretty girl, and I have plenty of sex. And unlike you with your nightmarish vortex of power relationship neuroses and repressed homosexuality, I can actually enjoy sex with a woman. If anyone here deserves pity, it is most certainly you.

R.M. Schultz, your last salvo was an ill-founded attempt at marginalizing your critics and ascribing to them -- all of them I'd imagine since you didn't mention otherwise -- the stereotypical traits of nerds / sci-fi fans by affiliation with the site OR at best [or worst] another flimsy, no-evidence attempt at equating something innocuous to homosexuality in defence of your rather uniquely flawed and ill-concieved "theory"? :wtf: :) :D :P  [falls out of chair]

More importantly, his last salvo was a tacit admission of failure. He can't answer the points, so he's just going to change the subject.

I actually thought it was kind of amusing that he revealed yet more of his personal inadequacies while trying to attack us. Specifically, the fact that he thinks 36" is a good waist size to shoot for when exercising, the fact that he thinks maturity and intellectualism are attained by watching the right movies or reading the right books rather than accomplishing anything academically or professionally, etc.

I agree. His initial efforts were misguided, but his insistence on a veneer of civility were obviously much more important than he let on. At least we know now that he really didn't have anything to contribute. I've never been, but I guess this means this Axis History Forum is another of those internet circlejerk forums where everyone talks about how learned and intellectual everyone is.

But hey, I'm thin, fit, I own Paradise Lost with paintings by Blake, Winston Churchills autobiography and a translation of Ibn Ishaqs Life of Muhammad. I must be WAY smarter than anyone who watches movies with carchases or reads Jules Verne... right? Automatically? Who cares about my qualifications or study, right? Hot 18 year old girls *clearly* make me a better person.

I want to single one point out, because it made me laugh. Reading the paper. Now, I don't know what it's like in the rest of the world, but in Bris-vegas all the newspapers are more or less tabloid nonsense. Reading the paper is not only unnecessary to keep up on current events, it's actually exposing you to dozens of 'zomg thin' 'zomg cat in tree' 'zomg pedo' stories. You'd be better off hitting news sites, then watching Equilibrium to catch up on gunfights.

GHETTO - I totally missed his actual 'point'. He's using 'lolz reforming teh nerds' as an example of how homosexuals can 'give it up'. See, you're not 'born a nerd', so you can just stop whenever you want! See, he's insulting what he percieves to be the boards population and repeating his unsupported conclusion AGAIN!

But what would I know: I haven't lived with my parents since I was 18.

R.M. Schultz wrote:
Wyrm wrote:
No, I was comparing murder to theft. Both are crimes, n'est-ce pas?
^LEARN TO QUOTE, MONKEY-BRAIN!! -Wyrm

A lie. You compared armed robbery to theft as an analogy to comparing genocide to your 'democide'. Armed robbery is different from theft because armed robbery has a much higher potential of getting someone killed. On the other hand, there's no moral difference between your democide and proper genocide, as they both involve the extermination of an arbitrary group of people.
Armed robbery is the same as theft in that the outcome is the same: the victim loses his property.
Except there's this annoying tendency in armed robbery for the victim to be killed. It's very unlikely that if you burgle my house while I'm away that I myself will be killed in the act, but if you walk up to me in an alley and stick a gun in my face, that gun might go off and I'm dead.
R.M. Schultz wrote:It is, however, different because it is readily understood to be a greater threat to social order. Violence may ensue, whereas one might reasonably resist a purse snatcher one would be chary of resisting a man with a gun, the psychological violence against the victim is vastly greater, etc., etc.
Where did you pull this "psychological damage" bullshit? Armed robbery is more serious because I can be killed far more easily in an armed robbery rather than mere robbery. That's why we penalize more.
R.M. Schultz wrote:Similarly, both genocide and deomocide have identical outcomes: the victim is dead. But the threat to social order is less with democide because the potential victims have a chance of escape. From my own perspective, if a genocidal campaign were to be started against the Welsh (and I am mostly Welsh) I would have no escape. But if a purge were to be directed against Catholics, or grand opera fans, or bisexuals, I could change my behavior and avoid prosecution (or, in the case of my Catholicism, accept martyrdom).
And you think the disruption of peoples' lives doesn't cause psychological harm as they "escape"? Do you think that there won't be people who know who used to be a former gay? Will the persecutors even care if you profess you have "sworn off" the persecuted behavior and kill you anyway? How many other people will be caught in witchhunts?

And furthermore, do you think that people cannot fake their ethnicity to escape persecution? You do not have a neon sign flashing above you declaring "WELCH ANCESTORY", you retarded monkey. A Jew can easily pass off as a Catholic, even though his Jewishness is a ethnicity and not a religion... Oh, wait!

And you still have this fucking defect in your thinking that rounding up any group of people and killing them off when they haven't done you any harm is any less
R.M. Schultz wrote:Let me put it to you in personal terms. If someone were to go after your ethnic group (and I’m not sure what that is), you would be stuck; but if the government decided to round-up all science fiction fans, you could change your habits and avoid persecution.

Now I know you think you were born a science fiction fan but (trust me) you weren’t! <- smallified, again! -Wyrm

You know, you have just proven that you try to shoehorn all of sci-fi fans into a restricted mold the same way you shoehorn homosexuals, even if the two groups were in any way comparable. It's really sad that you are unable to come up with an original thought. You just seasoned the bullshit you usually emit with paprika and basil, and that's in no way gourmet cooking.

Take your patronizing bullshit and shove it right back up where you got it. That's right, right back in your flacid, ravaged asshole where you pulled it. :finger:

And no, you still haven't explained why killing off a severable group is less of an atrocity than killing off a non-severable group. Answer the point, bitch!

There isn't much I can say about you that hasn't already been pointed out by multiple other posters, but I will say this:

You have no meaning. You have no recognizable impact. All your efforts here, the two weeks waiting to get in, the thrashing about as people gleefully roasted you. Do you know how much it effected these people's lives? None. None at all. It took us minimal time to compose responses to your idiocy. This thread will likely be moved to Parting Shots, and you will be forgotten.

How does it feel to be utterly worthless? How does it feel to be nothing but a passing amusement, thrown to the side like cumstained napkin at a peep-show?

It won't even take a week. Several days from now, you will be forgotten, just another one of the masses that populate the ranks of the banned. You are not special. You are not memorable. You are not important. It hurts, doesn't it?

What's most amusing is this: You are not even hated. To hate you would be dedicated time and energy to thinking about you, and I promise you, no one here will be doing that.

So, that is the sum total of your efforts here: Nothing.

He's just ashamed that he's turned on by those pics. :P

P.S. How much did you pay the babe to pose with you?
Hey, I've been thinking about it, and I'm pretty sure I've hit upon at least part of the cause of this troll's many problems:

Envy.

Honestly, why else would he devote so much time here? The deliberate walls of ignorance? Constant evasions, projections, and basic asshattery?

He's jealous of us ('us' does not mean we're any sort of unified group, but rather that we all share the trait of not being pathetically envious trolls). He knows we've done far more than he probably ever will. That we're more successful than he is. That we've lead far more fulfilling lives. He's pissed because he's spent so much time trying to be like everyone else, that he tries, and fails, to convince himself that 'joining the mainstream' *is* a worthwhile goal.

He looks at us, people who really don't give a shit what others think about our personal tastes (except using their ignorance for our own personal amusement), and is insanely jealous. Even if he hasn't admitted to himself, he secretly wishes he had the courage to pursue his own interests, rather than spinelessly trying to adopt the interests he believes the 'mainstream' would approve of.

He knows that we're happier than he could ever hope to be. He knows that it was through our own fearless pursuit of our interests that we achieved said happiness, that we've found people we get along with, and can love and care for. But he still refuses to admit it to himself. Cowardice has become a way of life for him, and he's convinced himself that it is through his own spinelessness that happiness can be achieved.

I kind of pity him, actually.

*giggles*

Okay, that was a lie.

Hey, dickless wonder, if you imply in any way, shape, or form that Meggles is a whore again, I'll stop being nice, and give you a verbal lobotomy faster than you can spell 'Remingtom'.

...and the threat loses a little of its effectiveness when one realizes I misspelled it myself.

You're still here, I see. Found any courage yet, or are you still a spineless twat who resorts to petty sniping the instant an argument doesn't go his way?
